Really friendly staff, fair prices and great pub food - the chicken burger and BLT were both amazing! Nice outside patio seating too, and great beers.

Really good food, it was a shame they only serve a brunch menu until 1600. Great selection of beer on tap. When sitting outside you get the odd homeless person coming up to ask for change. However the atmosphere is good otherwise. Service is pleasant...More

So, my girlfriend and I arrived at the restaurant a bit grumpy. We just spent a lovely first day in Vancouver, however the jetlag had us starving. I was cranky that there was no menu, etc., but every thing changed as soon as Tiana arrived...More

So we popped in for a drink - the decor is lovely with a beautiful ceiling - and a very long bar! We came in on a Sunday afternoon, wanting to quench the thirst and my husband was pretty impressed with the range of beers...More

Only in Vancouver a short time but visited this establishment twice, which tells its own story. Excellent range of beers, not as pricey as some establishments elsewhere (happy hour helps!). Good offer of typical pub type fayre. Very friendly staff. Nice atmosphere.

Ate lunch here and was not disappointed. The food was delicious and the array of beers available was unbelievable. The ambience of the restaurant was most enjoyable as well. Water Street, itself, was such a treat.

First off, I have scored this as poor, maybe the food was OK, and its my personal choice... I hate curry. We ordered Humus to start... when it came, all I could smell/taste was a curry type spice! so it went back, and I ordered...More

Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and
stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of
being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many
plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell
the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's
history a more lively presence here than anywhere
else. Having been originally founded around a popular
worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of

When we were there there were several different sporting events showing on different screens, so I'm sure that they would accommodate your request.

Description
Housed in the historic Dominion Grand Hotel (est. 1899) in Gastown, this pub was renovated in 2007 and retains its original tin-stamped ceilings, exposed brick walls, stained glass windows and railings. The rest of this storied room has been given a grand renovation, including a new sound system and jukebox, classic pub furniture and flatscreen TVs. A long-time favourite Vancouver watering hole, the Lamplighter is the city’s busiest pub for good reason: friendly service, honest local pub fare, a large selection of craft beer and cocktails, comprehensive sports programming, and talented DJs and live bands give the legendary Lamplighter its famed atmosphere.
