Tiny little place. Didn't seem very well taken care of and was a bit messy behind the bar. Washrooms and the rest of the place were in decent condition though. I was talking to someone whom I think is the manager. He was more interested...More

Having spent the last two weeks frequenting every craft ale and micro brewery outlet in western canada, tgis was the best with a fantastic range of beers in the great location of gastown.

As other reviewers commented, the Dine Out experience here was a disappointment (similar to Salt tasting room review actually). Remarkably, many choices of beers were unavailable. Also, the food selection was poor. The food itself was okay, nothing great. Kale salad seems to be de...More

Enjoyed some fine beers at Bitter. Friendly, helpful staff and a great beer menu. Can't comment on the food as I didn't have any. I'll be going back to try some.

Using the term "pub" or even its own chosen description "tasting room" doesn't suit Bitter. It is an old fashioned bar, the kind that used to have signs saying "Ladies and Escorts". The location is definitely dodgy -- pretty much at Ground Zero for the...More

We went here as part of Dine Out Vancouver, and had a great time. The food was delicious with home-cooked feeling - nothing fancy here, just hearty and tasty. The selection of beer is excellent, although the prices are rather high. The service was exceptional...More

With the recent exodus of massive new building
