Went here with friends, they'd here there before. We met at 4:30pm on a Friday so just towards the end of the happy hour. There was a good crowd, all places at the bar were taken ditto for the tables. We were seated at the end of a long table and the staff continued to seat people around us at... More

A group of 6 friends stopped in to the Flying Pig for brunch on Sunday. It was INCREDIBLE. Brunch starts with delicious banana bred for the table. My boyfriend had a brown sugar walnut Old Fashioned which was pretty awesome. All of the food was absolutely delicious. The hashbrown thing is SO GOOD. We were so happy with everything. Great... This is a cozy restaurant in the heart of yaletown. Perfect to meet up with friends or coworkers for their 'appy hour as they have great choices like mussels for $6, Poutine for $7. I believe it starts from 3-6PM. Their dinner menu has delicious dishes starting from $19-$35 per person.

Took my lady here on V day for our very first time. We loved the place, I ordered New York Steak, she ordered Salmon, the food quality was superb, very tender. the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was excellent. They always came around asking us if everything was good which was very attentive. Would def go back again!

I booked this restaurant to celebrate St. Valentine's Day and our first night in Vancouver with my boyfriend. We got a seafood pappardelle and a trout on ragu of prawns, chorizo & garganelli pasta. My boyfriend's pappardelle were pretty nice, but I must admit that - although tasty - I expected something more from the trout. We finished with a... More

This was our second visit to The Flying Pig and again, it was a busy, happening place with a youthful vibe. We felt welcomed and the service was friendly and fast, despite not having a reservation, on a Tuesday night. They have a good selection of beers and wines and their dinner menu is eclectic and interesting. We had the... More

Upon arrival we were served delicious fresh banana bread, menu had a good variety of choices for a family of four. The portion size is on the large side and the food is fresh, delicious and cooked to perfection. The vanilla cake with chocolate icing is absolute heaven and a meal in itself... simplicity at its best. Value for money... More

Came in for a lunch date today, and a woman seated beside us was giving the waiter a hard time about some silly little thing, so I thought I'd come tell you that I had the best beef stroganoff I have ever had, and that the service was also fantastic. I will definitely be coming back here.

We are visiting Vancouver during the little-known (outside BC) Family Day holiday and the front desk at our also brilliant hotel (l'Hermitage, see separate review) had the wonderful idea of recommending the Flying Pig. The brunch menu was extensive and delicious and was topped by the fantastic vanilla cake with chocolate icing, whose very basic description does not do justice... More

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
