I have been to La Quercia a number of times and would have considered it among my top choices for Italian, my favorite Italian, until tonight. Perhaps it was the wrong chef who made poor choices ( we had the chef's choice tasting menu). I have to admit that a wedge of lettuce with blue cheese dressing was less than... More

A small intimate room that delivers on the food and service every time. Nothing like having the owner as the chef. Even better if his creativity surpasses most restaurants in the city. An always changing menu featuring top local ingredients. My wife and I started with a cold sable fish appetizer which was unbelievably delicious. We shared a bowl of... More

Since my 2013 review, we have moved to Van, close to this lovely spot. We absolutely love La Quercia, and we spend a lot of time in Italy! Antoine and the team work very hard to provide the best of service and the freshest of eclectic Italian dishes. In Italy, one eats regionally, and the regions compete, yet this team... More

If you visit this restaurant try the family style menu which the kitchen prides themselves on, you won't be disappointed with the wonderful dishes that are made with the best quality ingredients and plated with care and artistry. The portion sizes of incredibly delicious food are perfect and the service is outstanding. Highly recommend this intimate restaurant for any occasion.

This restaurant was highly recommended and sometimes that can lead to disappointment, but NOT in this case. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite of our tasting menu. We don't live in this area on the westside of Vancouver, but because we liked the food so much we will make an effort to return soon. The server we had was delightful and... More

We did the full family style menu (chef's pick) and it was wonderful. Difficult to decide what was better - the cheese souffle or the cheese plate. Risotto and the pasta dishes were awesome as you'd expect. The surprise was the tomato salad to start. In summary, all great!

Were it not for the quality of the food, this would have been a two star review. Even so, the bolognese sauce was less authentic than we were hoping, it being a dry rendition but still a nice dish. All other items we had ordered were quite good. We dined at the l'Ufficio part of La Quercia, so this may... More

We went here on someone's recommendation, and we were truly blown away. Awesome food that is prepared for you by the chef when you order the family style meal. Everything is fresh, and local if possible. It is a bit pricy, especially if you order a bottle of wine, but it is definitely worth it.

After not visiting the restaurant for a year, we went for our anniversary dinner and were so impressed by the selection of dishes and wines, the friendly service, and the cozy atmosphere. We will return again soon! Reliably excellent!

A great taste of Italian food with more to offer than just pasta and pizza. The service was very good too, good recommendations. No vegetarian options.

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighbourhood Profile
Kitsilano
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
