Had dinner here yesterday and enjoyed it a lot. Salam Bombay has a modern feel to it with a fantastic view of the city. The service last night was very attentive. We started off with some red wine and chicken malai kababs as appetizers. Then we tried a lamb dish where the rice was seasoned very well. Dessert involved rasmalai... More

I wasn't sure what to expect, having found this restaurant through Google maps. The reviews there were a bit mixed`but promising enough to give it a shot. The restaurant was nicely appointed. We were greeted warmly and sat at a table for four even though there were only two of us. The food was of high quality and good non-alcoholic... More

We arrived late after and walked here from the Shangri-la. The food was delicious and the services was fantastic. It was child friendly . The food was bought out quickly. We would definitely go here again. The kids thought it was awesome as well!

I love Indian food and there are lots of choices in Vancouver. Check out SB and you'll be happy that you came by. If you're just two, I suggest that you order 3-4 appetizers and you should have enough food. If you're really hungry, add one entree.

We just happened to be walking past when we spotted this place. It's upstairs so it's not immediately obvious from street level. We were a party of four and we all ate from the lunchtime buffet. Great food with plenty of dishes for vegetarians. Good service too. I would highly recommend it.

The experience at Salam Bombay was just that, an experience, from the food, to the professional service, to the amazing selection of authentic food (we opted for the buffet). It was a little pricey for what you think of as a "buffet" but so worth it because of the amazing array of authentic Indian dishes I had never even heard... More

Went there in December 2016 for lunch . I found it very clean , the server was Very polite and suggested us good food options. Food was not the most awesome one but it was hot and tasty ! There was buffet as well and it looked great . Parking is at street and is not validated.

I wouldn't say the food was bad but definitely not cooked by professional chefs. I know quite a bit about Indian cooking and I know how a particular dish should taste. Chef or owner named the dishes which doesn't taste at all what it should taste like but tasted something totally different, for eg. Tandoori Tikka Masala tasted more like... More

The food was tasty. Nice ambeiance for Indian resturant. Prompt and courteous service. Family-friendly area. The best part was the Desert. If you are visiting Vancouver then best vegetarian or Indian food is at Salam Bombay in heart of town. Must go there.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
