We used to come here for our favourite wine and the chocolate cake, the bar tenders knew our faces and would know exactly what we wanted and then all of a sudden we didn't know anyone working there. Other then that we love the place, we have so many wonderful memories at Uva, defiantly romantic and love the life music.... More

This popular wine bar was active with a nice selection of tapas and drinks. Certainly casual with friendly service, though I was a little surprised at the Happy Hour tab of $100 for my daughter and self.

We stumbled on this place on TripAdviser as it was only a 5 minute walk from our hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff who greeted us upon arrival. We ordered some cocktails and food platters to share. The cheese and Salumi charcuterie plates were fantastic ! Staff were attentive and looked after us, there was also a... More

The UVA is pretty small and gets crowded, but it's hip and nice. The hotel is in an excellent location right by the VSO. The hotel itself is tired and needs an over haul. Scary elevators and noisy rooms with giant airconditioners and pipes right outside the windows, but the price reflects this.

My husband and I visited this quaint wine bar our last visit 7 yrs ago to Vancouver. We were delighted to see it was still here (so often places disappear). We each had a wine flight and the most delicious vinous mussels -- all at happy hour prices. We had two great servers who chatted with us and told us... More

Hours are great open till 2 am. Food was exquisite and the service was slow but very friendly. It has an open air feeling, as the large windows were opened wide to the street. Great setting for a little late night sippy.

Stopped by with a friend on our way out to an event on Granville. Basically a cocktail bar, minimal food menu to pick from. Nice to sit by a window, decor is nicely done! Friend had Arancini for $6, and Bruschette- olives and parmesan for $5. I tried the Crispy Fingerling Potatoes $7. Everything was tasty - would have been... More

Located in heart of downtown Vancouver, is a very welcoming place, offering a pleasant experience. Staff was very friendly and promptly. A little bit pricey for wine, with a short selection, but it was worth every sip.

It was a bit of a rainy afternoon, and we had wandered into the area, so jumped into Uva for a glass of wine to wait out the shower. But then we saw the small plates menu. So we ordered a bit of food... which was brilliantly plated and totally tasty. So we ordered more wine, and some more food...... More

Staying in Granville Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
