We have previously hiked along Mt Tzouhalem about three kms. (each way), by canoe from the head of Cowichan Bay but tonight drove from Duncan to Maple Bay and thence along an easy but winding road a further 3 kms or so to reach Genoa Bay, a delightful spot for locals or visitors. It is situated at the head of... More

Worth the trip out of Duncan on a windy road for good food. We went based on a recommendation from some boating friends. It has a unique menu and is well worth making to journey out to Genoa Bay. We started with cups of their seafood chowder, a rich and very tasty soup. We followed it up by splitting a... More

This quaint little café in Genoa Bay had good reviews and was recommended to us so we made the ferry ride from Brentwood Bay. It was quite the drive up through Duncan and down the windy road to the bay. Cute little harbour but not overly picturesque with the big boat barns. We arrived at opening time and took a... More

A lovely out-of-the-way drive took us to Genoa Bay. Thank you, Tripadvisor, for this Duncan dining suggestion. We were lucky to get a seat without a reservation. Most of the summer, even the outdoor deck is booked. Pretty much every taste was excellent and the service good. The first surprise was a pita bread made from risen pizza dough with... More

The wonderful drive...the end of the road...all worth it for this eclectic little spot overlooking the marina and ocean. We were pleasantly surprised with a great Angus burger and fish and chips. The outside deck has a quaint feeling and the surrounding views of Saltspring Island and the bay are fabulous! This is a trip well worth the drive!

We went to Genoa Bay Cafe for an anniversary dinner and we we were pleased with the wholesome and delicious food, the friendly service and the natural setting. Though the restaurant could use some light freshening up, the visit to Genoa Bay is always worthwhile.

Be sure to call ahead for reservations. At the end of the Genoa Bay Road, this sweet spot is worth the drive. Food was good - gourmet flavors and concepts, but just missed the mark - fries were meh, chicken burger was delicious, but poorly put together. I had the tuna salad special. Tuna was really overcooked, but everything else... More

Our party of 4 arrived without a reservation but we were fortunate to get a table. Cafe it isn't! This is a great restaurant overlooking the dock and Genoa Bay. It was very busy but the service was excellent. The lunch menu had loads of options and we were all pleased with our choices which arrived in a timely manner.... More
