Service friendly. Food was mediocre at best and drinks were just blah. I had not been here for year and was very disappointed in the lack of luster in the food. Would not revisit again.

Great place for dinner and drinks. I hear breakfast is good as well but never been here in morning. Food and service is consistently good. Had wings last and they were delicious!
We are here a couple of times while we stayed at the hotel, the first time for dinner the food was really good. But very slow service. Considering there was literally only one other table in the whole place, we didn’t understand why it took...so long for the girl to come back to us. The second time was for breakfast. My eggs were inedible, and my husbands food wasn’t good either. Again, one other table only that came in after, and we were never checked on so I couldn’t get my food remade. When the server finally came back, he didn’t offer to make new ones; but just took it off the bill… which I appreciated, but I left still really hungry… both friendly servers, just… not attentive whatsoever, especially since there was no other tablesMore
We stayed at the Coast hotel in Chilliwack for five nights, had six breakfasts at Prestons and three dinners. Every meal was excellent, tasty, well presented and reasonable priced. Waitresses all friendly and working under difficult civid times, did very well. The beet salad is...the best I have had anywhere. Every time I think of it, can still taste it! Highly recommend. This restaurant. Hooe to be back when the sun is shining, so that we can enjoy the park and pind view with the patio doors open! Great job stagg❤️More
Passing through Chilliwack we had a lovely stay at the Coast Hotel and ate breakfast here since the menu looked nice and it had decent reviews and it was right in the hotel. Having previewed the menu I was looking forward to the Mediterranean Omelette...with oven roasted tomatoes, spinach, feta and mushrooms. But it was just an omelette with a little bit of filling. Kind of dry. I would have been happier with bacon and eggs. And a couple of other details that drive me crazy; deep fried potatoes for breakfast? So many places are too lazy to cut their own potatoes and make some pan fried breakfast potatoes. It’s basically like having French fries for breakfast. Disappointing. Hot sauce. I like some with my eggs. But any place that only has tobasco sauce is living in the dark ages. $14 for deep fried potatoes and a skimpy omelette ? I think you can do better. I will give it three circles because the view to the pond is nice. Service was ok. Room is nice. And judging by the menus it seems the chef here has the capabilty to elevate the breakfast a little. My husband enjoyed his bacon and eggs. But it still came with deep fried potatoes.More
My family and I waited 35 minutes for our appetizers. There we two other small tables occupied. There was NO reason for our wait. The waiter was not very knowledge able about the food on the menu, though he was please try enough. I’ve worked...in three kitchens In my life and eaten in many. Terrible timing in from the kitchen, we were all hungry and expressed this to the waiter. The kitchen was very very slow. Food was pricey but good. We were told on the phone brunch was served until 2, once seated ordering at 1:05, were told brunch was done at 1. We did not get our bill until 2:30. Not impressed I will not return.More
Sunday morning at 0815 for breakfast and we are the only ones here. Good news: we had excellent service as no one else needed servicing. Plus the buffet breakfast was hot and fresh; again we were the only ones eating. The setting is pleasant with...clean white tablecloths and a beautiful view with the pond outside. Unfortunately, the quality of the food did not meet the other wonderful aspects noted above. The bacon was greasy, the scrambled eggs bland, the taters were decent as it's hard to screw up taters, the waffles were stored bought and frozen that we had to toast, the pastries not stale but not fresh, the fruit too young. I understand we chose the buffet as it was complimentary with the room and I trust the a la carte menu is much better but this is what we had and as such the review reflects that choice. Certainly, as a "free continental breakfast" this is way better than any other hotel I have ever stayed at (you know what I'm talking about; cold hardboiled eggs, yogurt cups, toast and bagels, and coffee from a communal pot). I guess with the beautiful setting, the sit down service and stainless steel utensils, I was expecting more. Still, a solid 3 stars.More
We had breakfast on a couple of occasions whilst staying at the Coast hotel. Food was just ok, service poor and tables often missing a full set of cutlery or cups....coffee was supposed to be Starbucks but was really watered down and almost see through....Go elsewhereMore
Service was very patchy and food hit and miss. One breakfast had order wrong, toast on the floor, no cutlery and no cups for tea but other times service was ok. Poached eggs were watery but served a purpose.
The staff in here are just lovely. The day we arrived late and menu was so restricted as they had run out of everything. That said the girls helped us get something to eat and the wine choice was great.
the staff were awesome, the lounge was great after a day of fishing, the buffet breakfast was ok not bad, but not great
Staff was very accommodating for our late food order. I work in the industry, so I hate to be "that table", but sometimes it can't be avoided. Food was amazing. Large portions, well seasoned and very affordable.
Went there for a Father’s Day family gathering, they accommodated us with a table for 21 ! Service was great, the one server went out of her way too look after us! She was outstanding !,, Buffet was good, but they did runout of a...couple items and we had to wait fora short time, but it came out quickly and it was hot and plenty of food! I would go back with a small group or large! Nice job Coast Hotel and Preston’sMore
The boyfriend and I stopped in for a drink here and it’s definitely a hidden gem in Chilliwack. We sat on the patio and the service was excellent. It’s like you’re not even in town. Definitely would recommend if you’re looking for somewhere intimate and...quiet with your special someone. They also have a food menu.More
Our table reservation for 10 was set up as two tables for 5 when we got there. We waited over an hour for our food. The portions were very small and 2 out of our group of 10 liked there meal. The live band was...amazing and saved the evening.More
