Truly terrible experience!! We waited 5 full minutes at the door (the restaurant wasn’t that busy) before anyone even acknowledged us, and even then it was only the bartender literally shouting across the room at us “How many?” Then he disappeared and we waited another...8-10 minutes to be seated. The entire time we stood at the entrance not one person approached us apart from the hollering bartender. But even the bartender didn’t seat us - he actually asked another customer that was heading to the washroom to tell us to head outside to the patio! We headed out and were walked right through the patio and out the back to the alley behind the restaurant where they had set up a table and 5 chairs near the parking lot. It was brutal! I protested that it wasn’t even inside the restaurant but the bartender kept reassuring me it was, while calling me “buddy” several times. The waitress was terrible too. She left us alone for the first 5 minutes with no menus, no water, nothing. She eventually arrived with water but no introduction and no menus, and asked us if we knew what we wanted to order yet?!? We ordered, and when the food arrived we had to wait for cutlery while it got cold. I had the $18 chicken Caesar which consisted of iceberg lettuce with a few croutons and some chicken strips. The dressing looked and tasted like a bottle of no-name dollar store salad dressing that was on sale. It was like watered down garlic sauce, but it was not Caesar dressing. I sent it back. I eat at a lot of nice restaurants but I can easily say that I have never had such an absolutely terrible experience from start to finish as I did at Garrison Bistro. I have eaten here several times but I won’t be going back. It was appalling. Halfway through the meal a new waitress arrived who was much better but it was too late to save this awful experience.More

This used to be a favorite of ours. With dine in not available at restaurants right now we decided to go to Garrison’s Bistro. They have a very nice patio and the seating is well spaced apart so there are no concerns with covid protocols...being adhered to. The evening was very disappointing. The waitress informed us that they had only reopened in March but I did see reviews for earlier during the pandemic. We were told that it was a new menu, new chef and all new staff. I wonder if this restaurant has had a change of ownership. It certainly isn’t the restaurant that we were so fond of. The menu is very small with just a few entrees. We shared an order of seasonal mussels with a Thai chili sauce and they were probably the worst mussels I’ve ever had. The mussels themselves were small and shriveled up. They were about the size of escargot. The sauce was extremely heavy on the salt. We probably should have sent them back to the kitchen. I ordered the strip loin steak and it was tough. None of the entrees appealed to my husband so he opted to have 2 additional appetizers instead. He ordered the flatbread and an order of chicken wings. He said the flatbread was acceptable but the wings were mediocre. I notice while we were having our dinner that a table down from us returned their meal of rack of lamb saying it was unacceptable. My husband has based on our dinner last night he will not return. It is really a shame. The service was decent, not great.More

My wife and I and a close friend of ours enjoyed a very good meal at the Garrison Bistro. Pork schnitzel, Angus sirloin and chicken picatta were our choices for our mains. Everything was delicious. A nice bottle of Riverlore Sauv blanc accompanied our meals.

Great service and food. Prices on the high side and you cannot get a basic burger and fries here. Disappointed that basic beers not on tap. Men's washroom is small and for only one person at a time.

What an interesting spot in Chilliwack's Garrison Village. Parking was easy, our reserved table was ready. Service was timely and quite professional while being very friendly. There were six of us in our Party and we all agree that the food selections were interesting with...enough variety for everyone to choose from. My husband and I enjoyed the Short Ribs very much - they were so tender you did not need a knife to eat them! The Yorkshire that came with the dish was huge. Our friends also enjoyed other selections very much. We highly recommend this Bistro for an enjoyable dining experience.More

Very Poor. The taco salad was to be a dinner. Their menu specifies a taco salad dinner as: Greens, Bell Peppers, Onion, Cheddar, Taco Beef Crispy Tortilla Strips and Cilantro Well it was never heated. No Bell peppers, no onion, no tortilla strips or cilantro....I got greens and dried beef in a seperate container. No dressing. All this for $16. I am not impressed with them at all. When I phoned to complain they mentioned they would give me a free appy card. Wow.More

Service was lacking( had to ask twice to get a server to take our food order. ) Also we were never told the choices for dessert tho other tables had this recited to them. There were no serving utensils to dish out the beet salad,...which was very tasty. We asked for the pasta to be split... a $4 charge seemed really excessive as it was just pasta with half a chicken breast cut in half. Other places don’t charge and it’s way harder to split a poke bowl or ramen ( Eg Browns) While some places do charge but less than $4 and that’s for a complicated meal with main, vegies and starchy sides, and often sauces as well. They have four kinds of draft beer which are not on the drink menu! I noticed some beer taps and had to ask!! If I hadn’t asked; we wouldn’t have known. A good pint for $5. Despite the kinks we’d likely try this place again, after hiking or driving though.More

I was thoroughly impressed with my meal. I started with a half Caesar salad, the dressing was fresh and not the typical jared variety. My only issue was the size of the croutons, they were huge and very very hard. The fork was useless in...trying to eat them. For my main I had the Thai prawns with coconut rice, it was absolutely delicious! Just the right amount of heat and was beautifully presented. I would order this again.More

The Beef Poutine and Brooklyn Sliders had to much salt and too much dressing or sauce on the Sliders too. Good customer service and environment. Prices are on the high side for food.

Warm atmosphere, friendly waitress & quick service & comfortable booth. All the food is fresh made by chef. We started with Crab Cakes (2 large, very good great mango aioli) & Thai Mussels (tasty but small). Other couple Brooklyn sliders (The Best! - ordered twice)...& Crispy Chicken Wings (good/small). For Dinner: Ancho Chicken Linguine (very good) & Short Rib (tender & rich). Dessert chocolate no flour cake (Amazing). Was a Wonderful Evening. Yes, this is a 5-Star for Chilliwack, a 98%. Would Recommend Garrison Bistro (farm to table).More

Service was slow as staff seemed to be intent on visiting When we finally got our meals, hubbies chicken wrap was tasty but the fries were cold. I had Mac n cheese that had a nice flavorful breadcrumbtopping but macaroni was undercooked and the bottom...half of casserole had no sauce....hence barenaked underdone elbow macaroni.. Not the comfort food I was hoping for😕More
