Thank you for such a quiet, clean room and for the friendly welcome. We even got to see elk passing through as they crossed the street. Lovely visit!

My biggest compliment is the the front desk person. He was more than helpful for our stay. We arrived early and he had an unoccupied room and let us check in early, he recommended a perfect place for us and our young children to snow...shoe and he was overall very friendly and lovely. People like him make you truly appreciate hospitality! The rooms were clean and reasonable. The facility had a great pool and hot tub to warm up from a cool dayMore
Moderately priced! Spacious rooms including living room, full kitchen, 2 TV, can request pull out couch for living room. Embers Steakhouse on site.....breakfast, dinner available. Checked many others...Marmot was competitively priced vs others and walking distance to town. Just past turnoff to beautiful Maligne Canyon...and Gorge.More
Clean motel style accommodation. Room too small for a family of four with teens, but we had two rooms thankfully. A bit dated, but quiet and a good sleep was had by all. The kids enjoyed the little pool. Avoid the Embers Steakhouse and eat...in town instead.More
Easy access, quick taxi services, clean and quiet rooms. Indoor pool also available. Restaurant on site, but communication between restaurant and hotel staff could be much improved. Hotel told us restaurant was open - we went over there and were told there would be no...dining room service due to a large group - AND that they did not serve on Mondays or Tuesdays. Hotel sent so many folks over that they eventually had to open and serve. Waitresses worked hard and did their best in a bad situation.More
Had dinner here before 10.00pm when everywhere else was closed, they accommodated us as the last customers for the evening. Service was excellent and food was great.
Booked by Rocky Mountaineer- very average hotel that badly needs to be refreshed. Plastic cups, no cutlery, coffee machine that did not work. Room not cleaned only bed made. 2kilometers from town and charge $18.00 for breakfast. Would not recommend this hotel for its price...rangeMore
Arrived in a big party....buffet meal provided. Catered for being a vegetarian although the choice wasn't fantastic. Chef very obliging and was happy to make an alternative as one of our party requested vegan food. Stall in the main we're quite friendly although one or...two of them looked like there'd had a testing day.More
Food was not spectacular and over priced for what it was. Service left a little to be desired also. Overall not a great experience. Fireplace was nice on a rainy afternoon
We had two evening meals and a breakfast at the Marmot Lodge. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The meals were really nice and a good size. Good beer too! :-)
Stayed here for 2 nights as part of the Rocky Mountaineer package, and was fairly unimpressed all round. If I hadn’t been travelling here as part of a prepaid package tour I would have checked out after the first night. The big issue was noise...- from the people above and on 1 side and even the store room which was located in front of my room. Thin walls! You could hear people talking in the bathroom next to my bathroom, and as my room was on a corner with a walkway around the corner I got noise there as well. But there’s more- For some weird reason the room was really hot and stuffy, even though temps at night got down to 3degrees c. So they turned on the rickety a/c to cool down the room which meant it sounded like a freight train was running all night. Couldn’t open the windows to get cool air because of the lack of security screens - just pop out fly wire screens. So sweltered in a hot bedroom for 2 nights. A few more annoyances such as no milk provided - just coffee whitener powder, and the outside lights from 2 corridors shining into the bedroom all night just made it an unhappy stay all round. Two positives - the bed was very comfortable and the mountain views outside the rooms spectacular . But that’s not enough to make up for the rest.More
We found the rooms very dark and not that inviting. They were pet friendly that was a plus, the price was reasonable. It would not be our first choice in Jasper
Serves a typical North American buffet breakfast either continental ( fresh fruit, cereals, toast and pastries etc ) plus freshly cooked hot breakfast at reasonable prices. Combined with good cheerful service and never ending coffee top ups makes this a nice place to start your...day,More
I cannot believe I am stuck in this dive for two nights. Booked on Hotels dot com. Prepaid $179/night + taxes for low season so thought it might be an OK place. Nope. Plus they took a $200 ($100/night, what??) security deposit. Put us on...the main floor on a busy road with a train across the street. Definitely not going to sleep well for a variety of reasons.More
The Marmot Lodge is a retaurant/bar immediately adjoining the Marmot Lodge motel. It is very convenient, and the waiting and kitchen staff were very accommodating even though I arrived as the kitchen was closing up. The food was well prepared with a resonable variety at...a reasonable price.More
