We love pork schnitzel and have it very often when we are in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. However we must say that the schnitzel at the Bauernschmaus is excellent and their mixed salad, that comes with the meal is very, very good! All in all an...More

This has been on our short list of reliable restaurants for a long time. Everything about it from the rural Austrian room, courteous staff and splendid food add up to a fine meal. And all at a good price.

They will not substitute anything for what you are unable to eat, disregard your needs and still charge you full price, even if you ask them not to put what you can't eat on the plate. I have over many years frequented this restaurant and...More

Everything about this restaurant is just like in Vienna. The dark wood atmosphere, the solid wooden tables and chairs, the soft music playing and the attentive staff. My husband and I ordered the wienerscnitzel that was veal rather than the usual pork or chicken and...More

We had a birthday dinner here. The restaurant is very clean and quiet. The servers are attentive but not intrusive. The food is delicious. We had schnitzel and it was excellent. It was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. We had deep fried mushrooms and...More

Food was great, I have never had a bad meal there. The apple strudel is delicious. Don't be in a hurry as everything is made from scratch.

All considered, it was a large group that came out. Food was good, European style which was what attracted us. Imported beer is available for the connosieur palate. All went well for a very enjoyable evening.

Great German food. Unlike Barb&Ernie it is better quality and similar quantity but more expensive. Check out both, then decide which is better (this one I'd say) or has better value (Barb & Ernie I'd say)

I do not think so. I am not in Edmonton right now so can not check for you. But I do know they usually close for a vacation break each year and if I remember right I think it is normally around March or April.

yes - the bratwurst or sausage plates are gluten free. You can also ask them leave the sauce off the meat to make it gluten free.

Sorry this answer is so late - no there is no wifi. The address that comes up under wifi is for the Ecopest business next door. When you ask Ecopest for their pass word they won't give it to you. Short answer - no wifi
