As every Canadian knows, yes, you can screw up poutine. Fortunately these guys do it right. I'm firmly in the traditional camp (fries, cheese curds, and gravy, nothin' fancy), but there are lots of variants on the menu if you're interested.

I've gone to La Poutine a handful of times since they've opened, and I have to say the quality of the food has decreased over time. They have a great selection of poutines, but the flavor of the gravy and quality of ingredients has been lacking the last few times I have been there. The fries are often not crisp... More

We really enjoyed our lunch here;I had the Grannys(Turkey and green peas) on the poutine. Look forward to going back because there is so much selection.

I really wanted to have a traditional poutine. I have had an awesome experience in Quebec, and wanted to try this one as well. It was alright. It satisfied the craving.

Damn. Just amazing everytime. We were out of the country for 2 weeks, and the very first thing we ate was La Poutine. I eat the meat lovers with beef gravy and extra cheese (once every 2 months, mind you) and my spouse gets the traditional with extra cheese and beef gravy as well. I do suggest their specials, they... More

My cousins live in Edmonton and wanted to take me out for poutine. This place was great, it's tiny so don't expect an abundance of tables there's a small handful of barstools and limited counter space but the staff are freindly and helpful. The food was a delight to the tastebuds, maybe not for everyday or calorie counters! Nice vibe... More

The poutine was delicious, as to be expected. It's a very small place so you might have to walk out with your selection. Very tasty but a little expensive. My small traditional poutine with a pop came to $10. If it was a little cheaper, this place could definitely get 5 stars.

We went here for dinner and weren't disappointed with the number of choices of poutine. A large selection including the original gravy and cheese curds. Our group of 6 each had a different one and all enjoyed it. The best part was my vegan daughter enjoyed it also. They have vegan cheese and gravy and you don't come across that... More

This is a tiny space and can be overwhelmed by people before and after movies at the nearby Garneau theatre. You'll be much better off if you're planning on eating alfresco. The menu is amazing. Who knew you could do so much with fries, cheese and gravy? I love the garden poutine, and am always interested in what the monthly... More
