This review is for the location on Jasper Ave and 94 St. (which for some reason doesn't appear on TripAdvisor). We've been to this restaurant a number of times for dinner with friends. Every time we've been very impressed. This is my current favourite Thai restaurant in the city right now. The food is excellent! Every dish is flavourful and... More

I LOVE this place. That being said, if you're afraid of spicy food or 'weird' looking things, go somewhere else. If you want authentic, flavourful, high quality Thai or Laotian food - look no further.

probably the best restaurant food I have eaten this year. the outside may deter some but the inside makes you feel right at home. cozy and always seems to be full of patrons. the food portions are a healthy size and take the time to ask the hostesses about ordering so your not stuck with large numbers of Styrofoam boxes... Despite the non-appealing exteriour of this place- inside is quite tasteful, not only in decor but of course their menu too! Its a busy little restaurant with parking around the back accessible through the back-alley. The food is always yummy and servers are always kind. Food can take a little bit longer than usual but not by much. Its always... More

First time there - delicious food, great staff. I felt overwhelmed with good fortune to be sitting there enjoying the atmosphere and Singha beer. Definitely going back"

The food is excelllent and delicious. It is very authentic and tastes very similar to my mother in law's cooking (who is from Lao). You won't be disappointed. A bit pricey but well worth it for dinner. Try the beef lap (if you like spicy) and the red curry. They are always consistent. Make sure you reserve a table on... More

Can't rave enough about this place. A few negative reviews said it wasn't authentic thai. I would not know if this was authentic or a Canadian-ized version but I can say that it was the best food from a Thai restaurant I have had anywhere. Place looks sketchy from the outside and in a sketchy neighbourhood but once you walk... More

This little, old and decrepit looking house hides spectacular food. Saturday night the place was hopping with a lineup all evening. We started with the salad rolls and took the servers recommendation to add fresh basil - delectable and with plenty of peanut sauce on the side. Each subsequent dish arrived piping hot and each better than the previous. My... More

Quite a few Thai restaurants have sprung up in Edmonton in the past 3-4 years. (A few have been around for 10 years or longer---including Syphay Restaurant (since 2004)). Lately I've noticed that these restaurants add the words "Lao Food/Cuisine" to their advertising. I think this is done to appeal more to prospective customers: everyone knows what Thai food is,... We went to the 104th location on a Friday night without reservations and the place was packed; however, they were able to accommodate us at the Jasper Ave. location. The drive downtown was so worth it! The Panang and Massaman curries were so fragrant and tasty and the Lahp Gai/Sinn tasted very similar to a dish we had years ago... More
