We arrived to a complete empty restaurant, and were advised the only table for us was a cold, uninviting table by the front door. We took a seat and endured bland cold Mexican food, though our waitress was fine. During our meal a group did arrive, a group of seniors who were made to go back outside and wait as... More

My wife and I stayed at Irwin's Mountain Inn a total of 5 nights associated with a Road Scholar tour. El Toro was used by RS for 4 breakfasts and 2 dinners. El Toro and Irwin's are physically connected. This review concerns breakfasts only and NOT dinners. Breakfasts buffet style---serve yourself. There was a choice of yogurt, cereal, scrambled eggs,... My fiance and I stayed at Irwin's Mountain Inn, right next to El Toro and we were happy that it served Mexican food which we love. We ordered the Sizzling Fajitas which were delicious! The restaurant was pleasant, the atmosphere was really chilled, well suited to a romantic cozy evening and was just what we needed after a full days... More

This is by far the best Mexican food I have had in a very long time. The restaurant is in a small Inn. Do not be fooled by what the inside looks like and it is well worth the wait! The prices are quite resonanle. The person that took care of us was a student from Montreal, she was so... More

This place had so-so service which was rather slow. The food wasn't bad, but didn't have alot of flavor like we are use too. Perhaps we should have watched everyone around us and only ordered the special. You can probably live without this place, but it will be sustanence.

First of all our waitress was not friendly at all and it felt like we were inconveniencing her by being there. My husband and I both ordered a caesar salad with chicken on it as we were not in the mood for a heavy meal. After eating about a third of my salad I bit down on something that was... More

This was the only Mexican food we found in Banff and it was located on the opposite end of town from our hotel but we walked to it and caught the bus back. Food was good. Fajitas were served without lettuce or cheese which was a 1st for me. Reasonably priced and family friendly.

We stopped in quite hungry and hot from a hike and asked if we could have a pitcher on Margaritas (not on the menu). They gladly accommodated and that started out a good evening. We ordered from the mexican selections and found the food tasty and plentiful.

The Breakfest was good and affordable. Good music was playing and the Server was very friendly. The spot itself wasn't busy so we were able to pick a spot next to the window.
