Nice bar, good atmosphere. Found it a little expensive for what you had. I had shepherds pie and I was very disappointed. It was nice but nothing special. Small portions and tasted ok. Found a lot nicer restaurants in Banff for the same price. There's...More

Stopped for a pint and was greatly pleased with the Irish atmosphere, large seating area, comfortable chairs and mix of Guinness and Jameson feel. The beverage menu of whiskey is likely the best in Canada (see photo). We only stopped for a mid afternoon pint...More

Friendly staff and busy bar. Not our type of food and also expensive. Don't let that put you off as maybe the bar caters more for younger visitors.

A fun Pub, great service and delicious dinner. I enjoyed the Steak and Guiness pie, the best I've ever eaten. I've had the great fortune to eat Pub food in Great Britain and this was the best.

I went there as a diner. I saw some children with their families. We were there at a family dining time around 6:00/6:30 pm.
Are children accompanied by adults welcome?

Our Story Begins in Ireland Located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, St. James's Gate, established in 1996, was built and manufactured in Dublin, Ireland. The authenticity of the imported Irish woodwork and fantastic artifacts make St. James Gate one of the premier Irish Pubs in the world. The Gate has a warm friendly atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. Rub shoulders with local residents and tourists from around the world. The bartenders are friendly and prepare the drinks with care and consideration and the staff proves just what a capable & fun group of servers is worth. It's everything an Irish Pub should be.
