During our recent stay at the Villa La Estancia, we dined at La Casona for dinner twice and breakfast once. The food never failed to satisfy and the service was without reproach. A fairly fancy establishment, they accommodated our 3 year grandson without a hitch. For those staying at La Estancia, this is an excellent, convenient choice. In addition, for... More

We dined twice during our one week stay in Nuevo Vallarta. The service was excellent and the quality of the meal was fabulous. My spouse enjoyed the duck and we both feasted on the tasty skirt steak. You enter the restaurant by entering the Villa La Estancia, an upscale resort on the northern edge of the "Flamingos" resorts. The restaurant... More

We were invited to this establishment to celebrate a special occasion. The ambience is classy. We were greeted very well by the staff. We were seated inside but my wife was slightly warm and the staff proffesionally seated us outside. All five of our meals were very good. The only issue was to explain to the waiter and staff what... BREAKFAST BUFFET: fresh fruit, omelet station, grilled vegetables, hot and cold cereals, breads, smoked salmon and toppings, fresh juice, coffee, hot chocolate, green smoothies, egg dishes, meat dishes, beans, and generally a hot Mexican style entree. $16 per person including tip and taxes. It was worth every penny. I requested coffee "from the machine" and it was more like American... More

Two couples went for a Valentines dinner. The food was outstanding. My wife is allergic to gluten. Despite discussing this with our waiter, when the accompanying sauce came for the steak, we discovered that it contained flour. Then we were told that there was no other sauce available. After complaining, it turned out she could get a sauce of olive... More

During our stay in Nuevo Vallarta we were showered with Mexican hospitality wherever we went. Upon our arrival at La Casona, at the Villa La Estancia resort, we were introduced to Mexican hospitaity on a whole new level. Mario, the director of restaurants, at this magificent resort has mastered the art of providing the quintessential service and his staff mirrors... More

French toast very moist and tasty. Will also cook fresh pancakes at the grill vs the less fresh on the buffet. Variety of fresh juice, fruit, pastry. And many Mexican dishes as well. Believe it or not, bagels and lox. The bagels are, well, sad, but toasted with cream cheese, lox and tomatoes will create a pretty tasty dish. French... More

The service and food at La Casona was excellent on both occasions we visited. The attention to detail and overall ambiance was that of a 5 star restaurant. Mario in particular provided above and beyond service. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Had dinner here three times this week. Fresh fish, great steaks and killer appetizers. Margaritas are a big plus. Breakfast buffet has everything one could imagine in a lovely setting.
