It is a must. Good regional food, reasonable prices. The waitreses are very kind. Sometimes the music is opera or bell canto. The founder was a theater and opera lover.

We make a habit of asking the locals where the best food is when we are in a new town. In Aguascalientes, all the locals were unanimous in recommending The Cenaduria San Antonio. We decided to give it a try. This restaurant is decidedly a "locals" hangout. A tourist not used to Mexico would probably not stop in to give... More

My friends told me that this restaurant has a long history in Aguascalientes (more than 50 years.... wow). From first-sight it doesn't seem to impressive but the dishes were very good and full of flavor. Everything is great: Pozole, Flautas, Tacos, Sopes (pork and chicken), Tostadas, Enchiladas and sweet tamales. Recommended for real Mexican food lovers, this is no tex-mex... More

If you ask anyone for a place to have a typical dish in Aguascalientes, I bet they´ll answer "La San Antonio". With a great variety of "garnachas" (fried tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, sopes) pozole , and the best Tamales in town (sweet and salty ones). You can have a "plato Aguascalientes/Hidrocálido" that comes with a little of everything so you can... More

The price is not at all good comparing with the horrible food. Hard sopes and small, the taste is really not good for the fame the have. Not recomendable at all.

Having over 30 years of service, Cenaduría San Antonio is THE place to taste the best of the local cuisine in Aguascalientes. All the dishes are exquisite and really unique. If you are there and have a hard time deciding what to order, go for the "Hidrocalido" platter.
