Upgraded without asking, said small shake wasn’t available when it was. Charged for large and gave a small. They will scam you if they can. Too bad...gives an otherwise beautiful country and decent franchise a bad name
When kids are hungry and you are hungry you go for what is familiar. The shortest line was the cash line. All prices are listed in pesos and there’s a faint sign regarding their conversion rate to US dollars. Lots of pressure to upsell to...large fries or a different burger combo. Stuck with 2 of the cheapest burger combos and one fish sandwich.
The normal conversion rate should have been $34 for a 720 peso meal. My charge was $39. Watch out! Probably cheaper if I’d used a credit card, OR saved some pesos to use at the airport!!!! Food was fine.More
So many expensive choices at SJD airport, and after debating for a few minutes I settled on lunch at Carl's Junior, not knowing what was about to come.
The lineup was long and it moved slowly, however the wait for the food was just as...bad. Speaking of waiting, we had to lineup for soft drinks as well, as one of the staff was replacing one of the syrup containers under the self-dispensing drink station.
Expecting a hot and fresh meal after all this waiting was even more disappointing, as the food was only warm in temperature with a soggy bun and fries. What a poor quality meal, all for an outrageously expensive price of $20 USD!
Note to self and others, avoid burger franchises at international airports, wait until you get back home for that burger fix!More
I’ve been ripped off in airports before but this was probably the worst I’ve seen. A basic combo is about $20 Canadian. The person taking the order argued with me and told me what I wanted wasn’t any good. He aggressively tried to up-sell me...when I told him I wasn’t interested. I couldn’t see if he was smiling behind his mask but I assume he wasn’t.
Better customer service would help to outweigh the high gouging prices.More
Very over priced. Food was not that good and used captive audience to charge way too much. Paid over $42 Canadian for one burger combo and one 3 piece chicken finger combo. Ridiculous. Will never eat here again
Once you reach the departure area of the Cabo airport, there are only three food options. I chose Carl's. There was a considerable line, but I persevered and forked over
$18.00 for a small meal combo. The meal was mediocre even for fast food.
Taking plane flight back to USA in Early morning. Sign says open at 9am , opened just past 9:30am. Ordered through auto kiosk not standing in line with credit card, or 2 combo meals. Got a 1 foot long receipt which was presented to person...when number was called. Cost was about 500:pesos. Food, was ok but still .More
