The queen's head is a beautiful local pub with a variety of beers on offer. We've eaten here on numerous occasions and the food and service have always been excellent. The location is idyllic and it's well worth a stop if you are walking locally.

REading some reviews does not fit with our experience only Last Wednesday. WE were the only ones in the main dining area.A board was produced from which we chose Fish and Chips. THe wine had arrived to be served and soon after our food. MY companion and I looked at each other as we felt it arrived very quickly. THe... More

Tucked away down a very quiet road you’ll find a very warm cosy pub. The food is very good, the children’s portions being large indeed. The only slight drawback is the very limited wine/drinks menu. Apart from that I would happily return.

Lovely old pub. Some areas not as cosy as others but excellent food. Home cooked taste. Great place to come after a walk along the river

The menu here changes regularly and there are always tasty specials. As a very fussy pescatarian, I found I had plenty of choice. Service was polite and efficient. I had French Onion soup to start which I found quite peppery, but I am sensitive to spice, followed by sea bream with tarragon and mustard with leeks, the food was delicious.... More

We've passed the sign for this pub so many times over the years, we decided to drop in and have a look and we were glad we did. It's off the main road and not immediately obvious but there are signs pointing you the right way so it's not hard (basically if coming from the A404 at Marlow towards Bourne... More

I called 15 minutes prior to arrival and spoke to Daniel. He was polite, professional, un flustered and immediately looked after my request of two tables of two, despite the fact he was fully booked. He re-jigged some tables about to accommodate us, which shows superb customer service. The food was absolutely outstanding. Perfect. All staff were attentive, polite and... More

This is the first time we have visited this pub on a Sunday lunch time. In the past we have had brilliant lunches. We were seated on time and waited 40 minutes for our first course. The stuffed chicken was sent back as it was cold. It was served (the same plate of food) 5 minutes later at a better... More

We stopped for coffee during a walk and decided to book for lunch. We enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch. The roast was probably the best I have ever had in a pub. The puddings were lovely too. Staff were friendly and efficient. Only 4 stars because they don't accept dogs but without that would definitely be a 5+.

Thank Charvil
