This restaurant has been a special occasion place for me over the years. It is a hotel restaurant and you must make reservations on the weekends. It caters to wedding parties and can either be very busy or very quiet, depending upon the day of the week. The last time I dined there the kitchen was having a "bad" night.... More

Best brunch you may have in San Miguel or any Mexican restaurant all over the world. Try the Chicharrones and the Chalaquiles, both in Salsa Verde.

Entertaining friends from out of town - both foodies and wine lovers so selected 1826 for atmosphere and special multi-course meal. We were not disappointed. Service was top-notch, each course presented as work of art, tasting no less marvelous than the visual presentation. It is not inexpensive by any means, but the food and service were, that night, above reproach.

We came here for the Sunday brunch. It was a combination of Mexican and continental inspired food. The Mexican food was almost average for San Miguel. The continental items were not up to average for the region. The fruits and juices were excellent. The service was definitely subpar.

Arrived for buffet brunch with a group of eight and were told there would be a 40 minute wait for a table. Went to hostess after 40 minutes and were told our table would be ready in 40 minutes (No sense of organisation)! The buffet is expansive and 95% Mexican. I made the mistake of ordering from the menu and... More

We stayed at the Rosewood, and although we tried a few restaurants recommended on trip-advisor, we thought the food at this restaurant was excellent and by far the best! We always chose to have our meals in the courtyard where it seemed more casual. We tried everything-from the Eggs Benedict, pancakes, fresh fruit platter, and fresh pastries at breakfast to... More

We could have a good lunch here. But you could find better options without spending this much in other places of the centro. If you stay in Rosewood and feel lazy to go walking to other restaurants, it is ok like we did.

We have come to winter in SMA for 9 years. When 1826 opened the town was excited to dine there with food and service excellent. Last night it was a different place, truly poor service, unappetizing food. Coasting on the past.

Wonderful evening with 4 courses each paired with wine. Interesting well executed menu in a beautiful setting. The foie gras mousse left us wishing for more!

Came to the Rosewood brunch on the 1st of January...I have to say it is worth every penny! The buffet is to die for, any mexican craving you might have you will find there. Top quality mexican dishes ! Also an amazing fruit buffet, cereals, waffles, crepes...mimosas, natural juices...anything you can dream off for breakfast. The restaurant itself is so... More
