I just love this small intimate restaurant with a great menu and a choice of seating indoors or out - great staff who have been there for a long time and just a lovely feeling of being unrushed and welcome.

Like the other reviewer said, this restaurant deserves to be busier! We were four girls In San Miguel for 10 days and we went to Chamonix for our last dinner the night before leaving. What a great experience!! Everything was lovely; the setting is beautiful,...More

This place is very special. It is charming, romantic, easy and fancy all at once. I suggest the Robalo. The menu is a big limited, however imposing it may seem on your first trip, but no matter. You'll probably be like me & come back...More

Chamonix is a welcome alternative to San Miguel's many fine Mexican and Italian restaurants. Located near the Jardin with both an attractive covered courtyard and an interior dining area. The reception, service, food, and atmosphere were all above our expectations. The menu covers all the...More

As a resident of San Miguel de Allende I have seen many restaurants come and go. Currently we are in the midst of a trend of big city owners spending millions of pesos to tart up old colonial spaces into over-priced and inferior quality and...More

This is such a pretty spot to enjoy a meal with friends. I had the shrimp pasta, which was good, not great. But the atmosphere and ambiance was delightful. I'm anxious to try it again!

Let me begin by saying that I'm giving Chamonix a four star review only because I save my fifth stars for exceptional experiences. Having said that, I have nothing negative to say about Chamonix. It's a cozy little spot, close to the jardin, a nice...More

Neither the food nor the service warranted more than three stars. Our biggest issue was that the menu was extremely limited, with only three entrees, two of which were pastas.

Chef Ana Lilia Galindo serves up a globe-spanning menu in Chamonix's cozy, hearth-warmed dining room. The specialty here is the aptly named Swiss fillet— medallions of beef wrapped in ham and cheese. But frequent fliers will also be pleased by traditional Mexican dishes like beef-stuffed poblano chiles, spicy Sri Lankan curry, Vietnamese spring rolls, and an array of fresh pastas. In fine weather, the pretty outdoor terrace is a lovely place to linger.
