Could you imagine a delicious bowl of Gumbo in San Miguel de Allende? I could not. What about a tasty Po-Boy? I could not either. I can imagine what people is thinking: Who, being in the middle of Mexico, visiting SMA, would be interesting in...More

We have visited Hanks for lunch on two occasions in the last week. We tried the gumbo soup, tuna salad and burgers with fries. On both occasions food was delicious and arrived in a timely fashion. Service is friendly. Excellent location close to Le Jardin.

I was overcharged and they will not refund. I was offered a gift certificate but since I live in Colorado, it won’t help me. I told the manager that and he never responded back

To start with, the place itself is great for drinks and to sit at the bar with some nice music. The food was unfortunately terrible.. Must say we did like the tuna carpaccio, but it was soaked in sauce. I ordered the whole fish and...More

My husband and I stopped by Hank's, early in the day, to make a reservation for 7:00 that evening. We returned at 7:00 pm, but the hostess couldn't find our reservation. She apologized, and left briefly and then signaled us to follow her. The place...More

We spent Christmas of 2017 in San Miguel de Allende, and investigated restaurants that offered Christmas dinners. I spoke on the phone with an employee of Hank's who explained the options of the special Christmas meal, and the policy of prepaying the meal. I asked...More

Hanks is an institution in SMA. The gringos hang in the bar area - the locals and gringos mix in the restaurant part. The menu is broad and, for the most part, predictably good. The portions are ridiculously large. If you're going for the first...More

The food and service was fine but I had expected more after reading the many high reviews on the site. Location is very convenient if you are staying near the Jardín area. A bit crowded out at the bar and the room they put us...More

I loved to visit this place in the past , I came a few years later and the food is still great but the service is the worst. More than an hour to bring our main dish, I canceled mine. I do not recommend it...More

Description
Hank's is the new name of the famous Harry's Restaurant with 12 years of history in Mexico, since 1999 in San Miguel Allende and since 2004 in Queretaro. Hank's is a bit of Louisiana and its "French Quarter", which offers the traditional Cajun cuisine from New Orleans. The atmosphere at Hank's is incomparable, you can enjoy a delicious dinner or spend a pleasant evening in the bar, drinking a margarita, a martini or a devastating hurricane while listening to jazz music.
