called here for lunch, nice selection of fresh fish dishes. Choice of real ales, nice friendly pub and I was lucky enough to enjoy my mussels and ale outside in the sunshine.. Lovely pub in a secluded harbour village, not to be missed

We nearly always call at The Sloop Inn when visiting Pembrokeshire. If it’s a sunny day it’s hard to beat a drink and a snack on the terrace as the sun goes down over Cardigan Bay. The food is honest, basic and well cooked but below “castro-pub” standard. There’s a good range of beers (they serve Felinfoel Ales) and I... More

Had a meal with my husband and 3 children. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Lots of sea food dishes available. Opted for the ribeye steak which was cooked to my liking. The only improvement woulb be if the chips were homemade not frozen. Would call again

My Husband and I ate here last Sunday. I had roast beef which was one of the best I have eaten in any restaurant /pub. Every piece on the plate was cooked beautifully and full of flavour. My Husband ate a burger which he found very tasty

Been going to the Sloop Inn for over 15 years. Their "Angry Dog" burger was once billed as the "best burger in Pembrokeshire". Now it's no longer billed as such and is not so much an Angry Dog as a mildly peeved chihuahua. I'm sorry to say the place just ain't what it used to be. No Reverend James beer... More

Stayed in Porthgain and ate here 3 times. Varied menu lots of choice, including specials. Had sandwiches one lunchtime, crab and, separate sandwich thick carved ham. In the evening had Atomic burger, fish and chips,(not quite as good as The Shed nearby), fish pie. Lemon sorbet disappointing, way too sweet, but Toffee pudding big success. Friendly pub, olde worlds, sailing/fishing/historical... More

Came here for a meal with my daughters hen night. Service fantastic, even though we were a little rowdy. Food excellent. The place itself is beautiful, would highly recommend. Thanks for a great night.

Lovely old pub by the harbour. Food was really nice. I had Slewin. I asked a waiter what it was and he said it was a white fish from the sea! When it came it was actually a sea trout, like salmon. Very tasty. Puddings looked good but we were too full. Calamari was disappointing. Very small portion and not... More
