What a treat this beautiful Italian house/museum and the setting is too gorgeous. All the rooms and furniture are authentic and grand. The gardens are immaculate and the view of the sea fantastic. Went there for a friends birthday and we sat on the terrace next to the garden with a view of the sea. The food was delicious and... More

Outstanding location with far reaching sea views. Originally the residence of the Italian Ambassador this property retains much of its original features and art. Beautiful formal garden. We first discovered this for lunch when spending a few nights in Simons Town and quickly arranged a Birthday lunch here for a very special friend. Innovative menu with an excellent balance of... We had dinner with friends on one of the first evenings the restaurant was open for dinner. And we were thrilled: DECOR: you literally sit in an opulent historic Venetian palace of the 18th century! Exquisite and authentic. Beautiful kept gardens and magnificent sea views. FOOD&BEVERAGE: big variety for a smallish card, very rich tasty flavours, comfort food in the... More

The restaurant cum art gallery is located along the Muizenberg Kalk bay coastal road. The meal, the service and the elegant ambiance is excellent. Be sure to book before going. Make sure that you also visit the art gallery one floor above the restaurant. I would have no hesitation in recommending Cucina Labia.

Beautifully presented, delicious food and a gorgeous long table in a spectacular setting is what awaited my cousin and her guests for a recent birthday celebration. I chose the tuna starter, which was exceptional, the beef dish and Eton mess. All really good. The table was fantastic, the atmosphere jovial and fun. The pianist in the background and the chef... We visited the restaurant for Sunday lunch. What a fantastic experience. The building itself is a national monument & has been beautifully restored in its original style with art deco ceilings etc. The restaurant has fantastic views over False Bay. The food was as good as the building. Presentation & taste were first class. For bread & butter pudding lovers,... More

Built in 1929 to reflect the spirit of 18th century Venice, Casa Labia is the former Muizenberg residence of Count and Countess Natale Labia. Cucina Labia occupies the ground floor and outside areas of Casa Labia. Many parts of the restaurant have views of False Bay. In keeping with the heritage of the Labia family, our menu is influenced by Italian cuisine. The venue is also used for weddings and other events.
