Delicious meal, friendly staff. It was a little slow to start, but very good meal in tulum, and a more quiet / calm environment than most.

Think Heartwood before it became famous. I have been coming to Tulum for years now and Kitchen Table serves some of the best food I’ve ever tasted. Highly recommend! Last night we had grilled sea bass and a slow cooked brisket with homemade sourdough with...smoked butter. I love cooking and I love to grill. I also worked in high end restaurants in San Francisco for many years. I know that it is possible to cook something amazing, but to time everything so that each item comes out perfectly when presented… that’s really difficult and Kitchen Table does that. Each bite was succulent, rich and flavorful.More

Definitely some of the best appetizers we had on this portion of the strip! Hector was amazing and very knowledgeable, helping us with our food choices.

The biggest portion in the Tulum's hotel zone. The food is amazing, the ingredients are so fresh and delicious. The preparation is complex though not pretentious. The staff brings to the table an excellent service, honest recommendations and true knowledge of the menu. The ambient...is so relax, it's like sexy jungle, a place when you can actually talk to the person right next to you. Extra credit to the open kitchen! This guys work for real, they are true crafters.More

Wow, where do I begin?? This place was absolutely phenomenal. Our server Hector set the stage for a lovely evening spent dining in the jungle. The atmosphere was unbelievable.... who would have ever thought that an environment that can't even support enough electricity to run...refrigerators can offer such fine dining? My partner is vegetarian and I'm pescatarian, so we had several options to choose from. I indulged in the freshly caught lobster, which was out of this world! My partner and I are bread bakers, and we will never forget how good the "jungle bread" tasted- a true sourdough with homemade lime butter. The chef even let us check out their sourdough starter, and I was amazed that they could keep it alive in such humid conditions. This place is a must. We will come back every time we visit Tulum. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!More

One of the best meals in terms of food and service over our many visits to Tulum. We have tried some amazing restaurants including Hartwood, Arca, Wild and I would have to say Kitchen Table and Casa Jaguar will always keep us coming back. The...ceviche was one of the best I have ever tried and the sopes are to die for!! The gentleman taking care of us let us know that the staff there are like a big family and the love definitely shows through in the cooking and the way they interact with each other. The atmosphere is lovely, the smell of copal and jungle setting make for a pretty magical experience. They even provide natural bugspray : ) Can't wait to eat here again someday, thanks Kitchen Table!!More

We loved this restaurant during our vacation in Tulum. The food was delicious, local, and fresh. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and they invite you to check out their kitchen as they are preparing the food. It was a fun experience and we...left quite full!More

At the recommendation of our hotel, we recently had the pleasure of eating dinner at the Kitchen Table in Tulum. It was fantastic, not just for the delicious food, but the overall experience. Set in the jungle, the restaurant has an open kitchen. We were...invited to come into the kitchen to watch preparations, and the owner explained what everyone was doing. Because mosquitos are an issue, staff members walked around with a bucket of burning Copal; apparently the smoke repels them. The menu is not extensive but creative and inviting, and we had a hard time deciding what to order. Finally, we decided to share a salad and shortribs which literally fell off the bone. Yum! Perhaps the best thing, however, was the loaf of homemade wood-grilled bread. omg! Incredible! Service was friendly and professional. We loved everything about the Kitchen Table.More

Of all the many many restaurants my partner and I visited along the main beach strip as well as downtown Tulum, this restaurant was the most memorable of them all for all the right reasons! The dining experience was of a fine dining standard and...the food was of this high quality, but the food was mostly traditional Mexican and it was BURSTING with flavour! What's a soaps? Well we had it and now I love it. The best quesadilla of my life - I dream of this now. And we would never go for the fish tail - but the waitress convinced us and I'm so glad she did. Unfortunately they didn't have our first 2 choices for wine and the mosquitos were crazy due to this time of the year and the jungle setting. Oh and the chefs gave us some take home habanero sauce as a kind gesture when we asked! Magical experience all in all.More

Any traveled diner will realize within 24-hours of arriving in Tulum that Hartwood changed everything, nearly all its current competition including Kitchen Table built on the jungle side of the Carretera Tulum-Boca Paila with solar panel power and burning copal to keep the bugs at...bay. Established in 2015, a relocation and change of toque to Chef Angie Mata breathing new life into a Restaurant and Bar built on seasonality and local fresh products, Kitchen Table features an open kitchen centered around a massive brick oven that is responsible for nearly everything not grilled over an open flame. Known for smart Mixologists and Vegetable-focused fare, everything offered reportedly native to Quintana Roo, dinner arrived as six plates divided into three courses, the first featuring crisp Pork on a Tortilla atop smoky black Sauce alongside a delicate Sope filled with Onions, Avocado and Cheese plus Chive Cream to balance aromatic Huitlacoche. Staffed by friendlier service than Hartwood or ARCA, a young woman fluent in English carefully explaining each dish, “Wonton” may seem out of place on a Mexican menu until one realizes the Vegan-friendly entry simply refers to pan-fried Dumplings filled with Squash and Tree Spinach, the bed of snappy Beans and Onion Foam so good that guests would be smart to order a few slices of Focaccia-like Jungle Sourdough to sop it all up. Prone to frequent change, though thick Dulce de Leche with Walnut Crumble remains a signature Dessert for good reason, another standout sweet titled “Gorillaz” finds Banana Cream smooshed between spiced Chocolate Wafers with Lemon Meringue adding texture.More

That’s a good question! There’s not really a “happening” bar area near by but there is Mezzanine which is a hotel that has a beautiful beach front bar across the street. If you can walk 5 minutes down the road- you’ll find... More
