Welcoming spot in the center of Tulum perfect for a quick bite and caffeine fix. Good to cool off on a hot day with ice coffee. Great coffee, friendly staff and good wifi. No gluten free options on baked goods. Some breakfasts / eggs are gluten free.

Pan de Carmen next door was highly rated on Yelp but had loud music blaring at 8:30am, so we came here instead. Nice selection of breads and breakfast foods, pleasant cafe setting, friendly if a bit languid service.

Great food. Sandwiches, burritos etc are fantastic. Had a mango lassie with coconut, also very good. Latte was good. Only downside is no real coffee. Seems to be a problem in places geared towards tourists, lots of americanos or other expresso based drinks, but no coffee. Good prices too. I would defenetly return.

We stopped by Babel sevaral times over the 10 days we were in the area. Very close to colectivos to Coba and PCD. Has great real coffee, good iced americano, very nice sandwiches (perfect to take to go for Chichen Itza, etc.) They have good Wi-Fi, nice seats, some locals who are very friendly, a waiter who is extremely cute... I asked for a chai latte emphasizing "muy caliente." It was muy luke warm. Also, they have no croissants but show a long list of bagels in the menu, but they didn't have even one. Maybe they were having a bad day so I'm calling them 3/5 (average). You can tell this is a "hip" destination so I'm sure this... More

I stayed in Tulum for almost a month and it is quite expensive given Mexico's prices. But this place had the best value for money. It was my favourite cafe. Cheaper and more delicious than most of the places in town. Quality smoothies, wonderful bagels, delicious orange juice during breakfast time, great wi-fi and very nice staff. Definitely the best... So we ate dinner next door but we stopped in for my fiance to get a coffee. I ended up with a icey non-coffee drink (a pinada). They were both fantastic. We also got a cookie which were all made there and an apple pie to go. Everything was great and the server was fantastic. He spoke very good English... More

I absolutely loved it. There was only one waiter though his name was Manuel but he's great at his job. I love him, he was so nice. And the food was lovely. But the Agua de piña was astounding. They really do make it with love.

I did enjoy my nutella and banana waffle here, with a decent frappucino however the service was slow. Maybe they need more serving staff? Because I only saw one guy running about serving and taking orders. My waffle was sitting on the counter for nearly 10 mins before it was served. It was odd because he saw it there, even... More

We stopped here a few times for coffee and a quick breakfast during our trip. If you need good coffee to start your day, I'd highly recommend Babel. It has everything you would expect from an American coffee shop- great espresso, pastries, wifi, etc. I also particularly enjoyed the fruit waters. Very refreshing on a warm day! Easy stop if...
