This place is small and off the beaten path but worth the extra blocks. The service is excellent. The food is fresh and authentic at a very reasonable price. There is typically a line but not along wait. Try the kaxapas and empanadas - they are excellent!

The owner was our server, and he was incredibly welcoming. We got there less than ten minutes before they closed, but he waved us inside and even took the time to describe each menu item in full. The food was great- we ordered too much, and got the have leftovers later that night. I would highly recommend.

The place is nice, I like the fact that the owner and his family try to make you feel as comfortable as they can, the food is good, a lot of carbs if you ask me, but it's different and tasty. I ordered a Patacón and I liked it very much So if you want to try something different, you... More

Our second visit to Kaxapa Factory. First, this is clearly a family restaurant, the father is the waiter and loves it. Mom is in the kitchen. The kids work as servers and waiters. The drinks (nonalcoholic) are interesting and tasty. This time I had arepas and they were outstanding. Also had cachapitas for an appetizer, also delicious. The restaurant is... More

Loved the samples of their specialty drinks...ended up with a horchata-like one, but it was thicker, more like a milkshake. The arepas where awesome...we had a chicken salad one and a pulled chicken one, and an empanada...these were amazing! We also ordered one kaxapa which we thought was just okay, but it was probably because we tackled this last and... More

If you want to try something a little different this place is well worth the visit. I tried the Kaxapa which wasnt to my taste personally, my partner had the Patacon and it was delicious! Was so nice to try something different. The food was fresh and service was great. They even bought little glasses of their drinks for us... More

Love love love this place! You can't go wrong with this place as a late breakfast or lunch spot. Extremely kind service, generous portions and amazingly low prices (lunch for 2 = $11.50 total). Kaxapa is a Venezuelan-owned restaurant with flavorful and overstuffed sandwiches from the S. American country. I had an arepa (corn-based thick tortilla used like bread) stuffed... More
