Ricardo 's lovely spot is no more. Due to extremely slow business in May he stopped tapas, wine pairing dinners and ladies night and turned it over to Angel, his chef to run it on his own as a wine bar with some snacks. Currently you can get 2 glasses of wine for the bargain price of 100 pesos...about US... More

Tapas, served by a very friendly attentive staff, is the forte of this terrific wine bar/restaurant. Don't miss the Thursday night tapas-wine pairing which is reasonably priced, and is directed by the congenial owner, Ricardo, who is very knowledgeable in Argentinian, Chilean, and Mexican wines. A reservation for the tasting is recommended. We attended the tasting twice during our stay... More

"Off The Vine" is an amazing restaurant just off 5th Ave. On 1st between 26th and 28th in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Their knowledge of wine and food pairing is incredible. My sister and I highly recommend this little gem for a friend's, family or couples experience. Stop by to purchase your wine (or tequila) to take home or stay... More

The reviews don't really tell you there is a store there to buy and taste great wine from someone who knows what they are talking about. I spent the first 2 days of my vacation searching for a nice crisp white wine to drink with no luck then went there and told them what I wanted and they found it... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a PDC local, and really, you can't go wrong with a restaurant a local loves! The menu has lots of varied options, and we tried many dishes and enjoyed them all. Start with about 4 dishes (that's what fits on the table best - lol) and order more as you need/want. My husband's... More

We found this place on Tripadvisor and was featured on Westjet travel news. We had hoped to have the 3 course pairing menu as it was Thursday however we learned it was only available by advance reservation and sat at 8pm. We were disappointed however the menu still looked interesting and reasonably priced. So glad we stayed. We tried the... More

After a three year absence it is even better than in the past. Ricardo and staff have it figured out. We stopped in again for Ladies Night, special prices for the Ladies, a pasta dish, two glasses of wine and dessert. Food was delicious, service by Rosie and crew was attentive. Live music was a very nice touch. It continues... More

The reviews aren't wrong. One of the best spots in PDC. we had a large selection of tapas during our evening with excellent wines served by Rosie La Quebecoise! The jazz trio was quite nice, wines, very affordable in a quiet part of town off 5th ave. we're going to the wine tasting dinner on Thursday.

Description
OFF THE VINE is a fantastic place to enjoy a nice glass of wine with delicious Tapas and other apetizers. You can also enjoy the live music performers that entertain customers every night from tuesday to saturday. OFF THE VINE also holds one of the largest selection of wines in Playa del Carmen in case you just want to take home a nice bottle. The theme nights are great and attract a lot of the local customers along with curious tourists that want to explore a little bit more than busy 5TH avenue. You will not regret visiting this place while in Playa.
