Walking distance to our hotel, we were pleased with both the service and the food. It's extensive seafood menu left almost no tastes unsatisfied, unless you wanted meat or poultry. I enjoyed my periwinkle appetizer, and my husband loved his fish stew. Service was efficient.

Went to La Pigua for dinner. Took an Euber from main shopping area, (coat like 2 bucks) shrimp outstanding-bug bowl and it was only around 105 pesos! Octopus Agua chile: excellent. I had the fish Moja de ajo:excellent. Fish was a groper. Service was great too! Huge menu to choose from. I recommend for locals and tourists.

Went to La Pigua for lunch and ordered a few small dishes to share. Nothing stood out and it's pretty overpriced for what it is. Their shrimp "ceviche" isn't ceviche, it's shrimp with a vaguely citrusy sauce.

Chose this lovely little restaurant in Merida to celebrate my husband's birthday while traveling in Mexico. We were not disappointed! Husband had the octopus which he said was very tasty. The others of us had the coconut shrimp which was excellent and probably the best I'd ever had. The service was wonderful; always available but never hovering. When we informed... More

Lunch was excellent. Started with mixo cerviche. The coconut shrimp was best I've had and tastefully presented. Tried the fish stuffed with crab...a bit spicy for my taste but it is my friends favorite dish from there.

Had a fine lunch there. Nice dining area with A/C. Menu was extensive but they did not have many of the items on the "chef's recommendation" list. Change/ update the menu; it is just paper! The service was rather poor. The busboy did most of the work while the waiters stood around and talked amongst themselves. Busbuy get a bigger... More

This is a first rate seafood restaurant. Upscale prices by Mérida standards, but really quite reasonable, especially for international travelers. They have a nice selection of non-alcoholic drinks including fresh fruit beverages made from chaya, tamarind, and lima (not lime!). They serve bread/butter and totopos with a habanero salsa that is not deadly but may be too much for those... More
