We just happened to stumble into this gem by chance, and we were not disappointed !!! We took the Ferry over to Isla Mujeres and rented a golf cart and headed south... the signs had us intrigued so we followed the signs and walked into...this most beautiful beach bar complete with water swing, water hammocks, beach loungers and even several swimming pools!! The bar faces Cancun so you can catch a sunset here too!!! I highly recommend stopping in and getting a hibiscus margarita or 2!!♡♡♡More

Friendly hostess greets you and escorts you to your table. Friendly and knowledgeable waitstaff takes your order and explains the ingredients of the menu items. The food is more on the side of gourmet presentation and prepared. Excellent presentation and flavor. A restaurant that deserves...a visit.More

We were passing by in our golf cart when Manny lured us in, and we're so glad he did. I'd read less than stellar reviews and had no intention of stopping, but he assured us we'd have a wonderful time. He was right. Zama is...on the gulf side, and the beach is nothing like Playa Norte. You can get in the water, but it's muddy, so we chose the pool instead. The pool(s) are big and sparkling clean, and the servers come right to you. We paid $25 US for a shaded sectional and it was worth every penny. There are restrooms directly behind the pool deck that are spacious and clean, which was a big plus. The drinks are excellent and the burgers we ordered, very good. We had such a great time there, we returned the following day. My only regret is that we didn't meet Manny sooner.More

We found this place by accident and decided to come here the next day since it had 0% seaweed (Sargassum). There are different options and accommodations you can choose from. We inquired about seating options and the attendant told us that one option was a...sectional sofa under shade on top wooden deck with view of ocean and dock. She stated that we could pay $500 mex pesos or buy bottle service to get the sectional sofa. We decided to get bottle service and got a vodka bottle with 3 cans of sprite and 1 can of club soda. We inquired about food and they showed us a big menu and we chose fish, fish tacos and chips and guacamole. The fish tacos were very good. They have a medium pool that could fit a dozen persons comfortably. They attend you on the side of the pool if you want a beverage or anything else. Make sure you bring your own towels to play it safe, they ran out and didn't have any. They have a dock which gives access to boats and yachts, etc. We will return and go next time we go to isla mueres. Prices are fair and excellent customer service. Advice, if you have no way to get there, take a taxi if you come from port for about 10 minutes. They can call a taxi for you too when you leave.More

We happened upon this gem while driving our golf cart on Isla Mujeres. We had Manny park our cart and went in, thinking it was just for lunch. To our surprise, we paid a small price to sit on a couch under a shaded patio...and had two private pools, a private beach with hammocks, and waiter service--it was paradise! The food was delicious--fresh mahi mahi as were the drinks. The other guests were friendly and fun. The best part was the manager Luis--he made sure all of our needs were met and was friendly and accomodating. We will definitely be back. This trip made our anniversary one to remember. The best place on the island!More

We were doing the usual golf cart circuit on Isla Mujeres and took the dead-end drive past the dolphin/turtle/shark habitats on the south end. A barker flagged us down (that's a constant on this drive), and we were hot and decided to stop for a...quick drink. This was a surprise. We expected a bar, but it was a bit more. My guess is that it's maybe a fee-based club in the "normal" season, but when the barker gave us his pitch, he assured us that there were no club fees, just food and drink costs. He took our cart keys so that they could pretend to have a valet service and get a tip at the end LOL. Kind of gross but it's fine. We weren't going to eat until we saw how many vegan options they had. Seating is outside by the beach and the infinity pool. The food was good, a decent drink selection, and attentive wait staff. This feels like a high-end resort in a tiny space. They invite guests (even just drop-ins like us) to use the beach, lounge chairs, the pool, and the in-sea hammocks. There was a private dock at the end with big sailboats, yachts, catamarans, and other rich-people toys. The prices were decent, and they treated us well. We'd definitely consider staying at the nearby hotel for future visits. Sometimes pulling over for a barker is worth it.More

Had a great afternoon at the Zama Beach Club. Manny flagged us down and invited us in - although I think his title is Valet, he's the man. He probably needs promoted to Senior Hospitality Host - or some other creative title. Great food, great...drinks, beautiful beach and pool - including hammocks over the ocean, a swing over the ocean, and a nice pier if you arrive by boat. We had a little rain right before we left and Manny dried off the seats of our golf cart before we left. I highly recommend.More
