Love the fajitas at La Choza - great Mexican food, always have the Aztec soup and margaritas. Staff very friendly and prices are reasonable.

We hired a taxi to take us around the island and show us around. He recommended a place down towards the end of the island; but it was closed. So he brought us to La Choza. It was very pleasing aesthetically..it was clean and well...More

Very authentic Mexican food. Seems to be where the locals eat. Very good prices, and a decent selection of entrees. I ordered Carne Asada and my wife ordered some chicken tacos. Her chicken didn't seem to be fully cooked, so she was extra careful. She...More

My friend and I were on a 10 day Journeys cruise last week with a stop in Cozumel on 9/25/18. We had nothing planned so we decided on "authentic Mexican" food. We asked one of the many tour operators lined up after exiting the ship...More

A short walk from downtown Cozumel or a short taxi ride from International Pier, this restaurant was a welcome relief from the overzealously American-oriented restaurants. Their menu boasts incredible variety, but all of it delicious and of great proportions. I'm under the impression it still...More

I dive in Cozumel multiple times a year and Always visit La Choza (The Shack) every trip, most trips 2 times, is that good. If you don't like a whole fish, head to tail!, there are many other dishes to please you.

After our tour of Cozumel concluded, we asked our guide for a lunch recommendation; somewhere where he would eat, not touristy. He took us here. We got a solidly good meal with spicy soup, a combination queso/salsa dip, mole, and street-style tacos. A good selection...More

to start I would like to let people know that they don't have to eat near the port. Just rent a motorcycle for 30 dollars and ask them how to get to La Choza or any restaurant in the downtown area that has authentic Mexican...More

I have been frequenting La Choza for many years since it was in its old location at the corner of Rosado Salas and 10th. I still make it a point to stop by at least once each visit. Unfortunately, as the years have rolled by,...More

Hey sorry for the late reply, I didn’t get a notification. I honestly can’t recall how much we paid but for 2 orders of fajitas and two mango margaritas, it was worth every penny! I do remember it being reasonable. Hope... More
