The staff was great but the meal (chicken) was very dry and overcooked. Priced to high for the meal value.

Restaurant has a nice setting, good views, pleasant overall. Our mistake was in two of our party of four ordering the grilled octopus, which we had been enjoying at other locations. The tentacles were diced into small pieces which allowed the garlic seasoning to saturate and totally overpower the entree. I'm a big fan of spices; this was overwhelming. The... More
Our waiter Alejandro made the evening special. On his recommendation we returned for Friday night pizza. The lobster pizza had large chunks of lobster on it, and was tasty. The crust was passalbe (this isn't Italy!) Altogether we had two meals at this restaurant and they were both good food and great service! With an open air concept, we had... More
Food is good; specials of the day are your best choice, but everything I ate there was cooked to perfection and the service was great. They have lots of fish dishes so if you don't like fish you only have a choice of a grilled ham and cheese sandwich or a chicken burger. Neither are very good. The daily catch... More
Not quite sure how this restaurant gets such a high rating. Dinner was served on plastic plates and my wife's cocktail was served in a plastic glass. The baked stuffed fish was pre-prepared (not fresh) and tasted stale and dry. My wife was unable to detect any alcohol in her cocktail. Food on tables around us looked very average and... More
brought my family to Cancun and was lucky enough to find this gem....Prices were super affordable for my family of 5... The coconut shrimp was excellent. We had the lobster pizza (amazing) and a shrimp pizza along with seafood pasta. I had the house mariachi band sing a song of love to my beautiful wife ( and did a great job... More
The location is great, right on the beach, with dining in or outside options. The food was very good, and the prices are reasonable. Our server Cindy was great and made the experience all that much more enjoyable. Can't wait to go again!
A family-friendly restaurant right on the beach overlooking the Captain Hook galleon, with a basic but good value menu. As our hotel was a way out from Downtown Cancun or the Hotel Zone, I'd been struggling to find vegetarian-friendly restaurants (most concentrating on seafood). Thankfully Mandinga could offer a few dishes including a rather delightful Rice & Blackbeans (Cuban style).... More
Delicious food with delightful service. Beach chairs and sandy beach in front of restaurant if you want to enjoy a day of relaxing. I love the limonada here and always a delicious meal.
Ask the taxi driver, he/she will take you. A wide assortment of seafood dishes. My family loves the coconut shrimp, I went for the steamed fish. Takes a half hour to prepare and is .30 centavos a gram. Ask for the smallest (500) gram fish, 150 pesos. Not bad at 19 to a dollar. The atmosphere is not spectacular but... More
