After reading all the great reviews, I was very excited to visit this restaurant- and we went there for our first meal in Cancun. The waiter recommended the Tamarind margarita, and we tried it. It was awful! so was the classic. They were way too sweet. The guacamole and fajitas too were just ok.

The food was authentic Mexican, from spicy salsas to fresh tortillas. The grilled shrimp was served on a stick with plenty of vegetables and melted cheese. The stuffed chicken was huge, containing ham and cheese in a moist breaded chicken breast. . This restaurant is next to the busy Kulkulcan highway in the Hotel zone. It is easy to miss.... More

Loved the chips and various types of dips that they provided although the only one that I could have was the mild one…the medium was very spicy (didn’t try the hot one). The tamarind margarita was interesting…good, sweet, but little liquor. The chicken mole enchiladas were excellent The fish tacos were miniscule. My husband was still hungry, even after all... More

This is a hopping little place, tucked in where you don't really expect a restaurant to be, in the midst of hotels and time share condos on an area of Kukulcan where there isn't much else. The decor is warm and inviting, local performers stop by to entertain, and the three or four gentlemen who work here speed between tables,... More

My husband and I were in Cancun and were tired of all inclusive bland, non-descript food. We didn't have a car, so we looked for something on or near the strip that we could walk to and found this little gem! A few outdoor tables, nothing fancy, but the fact that we were the only non-locals there made us actually... More

You'll get the real favor of México, with a traditional cusine. VERY tasty with Good prices! VERY Good service (which is kind of rare). The waiter Luís is a VERY nice guy, me and my girlfriend had two meals at Tacun (we had to come back) and I can call Luís as a friend. When I back to Cancun, be... More

We have visited Cancun annually for 25 years and are very familiar with what is available both in resorts and stand alone restaurants. Tacun gets five stars because they score high in all the above categories. The food is authenic Mexican prepared as you direct. WE stayed at the Bridec condos right next to Tacun so found it convenient. We... More

We came here after reading about it on Trip Advisior - you feel like you're literally sitting on a busy stretch of Kuklukan Blvd. right across from Flamingo Plaza, so the atmosphere and view leave some to be desired. I ordered the mole enchiladas which were amazing! The mole was so rich and flavorful I couldn't quite finish it. Drinks... More

Read about this small authentic Mexican restaurant across from the Flamingo mall. It is set back off the main road on our way into town. Not expensive and touted by the locals.... Had fish tacos and gauamolie. Was given chips and HOT sauces.... Take your Nexium if you dare!!!! The whole bill with beer & tip was $21.00 US. Will... More

Everything in cancun taste the same very bland. Tacun was everything I wanted. Traditional street tacos. Flavorful and yummy. I recommend Pastor tacos (marinated pork). Next time I go back I will eat there every day. Side of the road and great service. A++++ Way better than any expensive resturant in Cancun period
