Forget Starbucks, this is the place you need your fix from. The most unique item on the menu is the sipping chocolate and it is probably also the best item on the menu. We had their ice creams, lattes, frappes, americanos and nothing disappointed. The ingredients are local and the flavours are fresh. The only thing we did not enjoy... More

The place is spotless, the service excellent, the staff speaks very fluent English. I had an espresso and a Brownie, both simply delicious.

We read the good reviews and saw pictures on Tripadvisor but our experience was just basic We ate here a few times as it was so convenient to the Westin Lagunamar. The pastries were dry and almost stale. The coffee, cappuccino or lattes never once were given to us with pictures as shown on Tripadvisor. The employees were not overly... More

Thank you for visiting Ah Cacao and taking the time to write a review. We are very sorry to hear that your experience failed to meet your expectations and will be working hard to try and improve this situation. Regarding the "pictures" in the coffee, we should just clarify that only café latte drinks may have a latte art design... More

We ventured in here trying to kill some time before we left for the airport. Everyone was looking for a little pick-me-up before we left, and this definitely hit the spot. We all ended up ordering Mocha Frappe's and they were delish. Ice cold and full of flavor. The girl behind the counter was very kind, and spoke great English.... More

Personal concierge recommended Ah Cacao for my chocolate fix. Wonderful REAL hot chocolate with whole milk and dark chocolate with a touch of sweet. My sweetie had the same but with a shot of expresso. We were delighted! Friendly and happy staff.

We discovered this place at the end of our trip. At the La Isla Mall just across the street from our hotel at The Westin Lagunamar, this was a very good breakfast stop. We had two Mexican coffees and split a chocolate croissant and a ham and cheese croissant. It was very affordable. We ended up buying some gift boxes... More

Stopped by here a few times after dinner for a sweet and also brought back some unique souvenirs. Diverse selection of sweets and drinks all of which are made from Mexican cocoa.

Stopped in late evening and bought a brownie, chocolate mousse, and some dark cacao squares. Staff seems friendly and helpful. The squares are nice and smooth melting and not sweet or bitter (for those who like dark chocolate). The mousse is amazing. Not as light as whipped cream, not as viscous as pudding, but somewhere perfectly in the middle. And... More

At the end of the day, I needed a pick me up. I had the espresso sized spiced chocolate drink and it was the perfect size for such an intense, delicious beverage.

I'd advise anyone to try this before Starbucks, and I am from Seattle. You Can actually taste the coffee in your drink. Courteous personnel and fast service. I'd go there again. George from Seattle

Experience the delicious tastes of Mexican coffee and chocolate, direct from the plantation. In Ah Cacao, coffee, chocolate and vanilla are presented in all their mouth watering forms, from artisanal coffee drinks by skilled baristi, to soft, succulent, brownies baked daily. They even have have a range of chocolate body care products - you have to try the chocolate shampoo! And if you're concerned about your health, check out the cacao products with no added sweeteners. These give you all of the health benefits of cacao (antioxidants that fight aging, blood pressure reduction, increased mental acuity, etc.) without any sugar or artificial sweeteners. Best of all, thanks their fine-flavor criollo-type cacao, they taste great. The ancient Maya knew that cacao was something special when they began cultivating it thousands of years ago and you can enjoy their gift today at Ah Cacao. Don't forget to buy for your friends, family and pantry back home!
