Visited 3 times during my 2 week stay. Excellent tapas, good drinks, nice staff. The happy hour was fun.

I loved El Olivo - the terrace at night is magical! I had a Mezcal & Mango, and my fellow diners loved their Mojitos. Tapas were delicious and well priced - liked everything! They play great music. Drinks are cold/delicious. Great food! We went twice during a one week visit and I would have gone again if we'd had the... More

Amazing place with a great terrace! You'll have some of the best food in Oaxaca. You have to try the tiradito de salmon!!

Nothing special. Drinks were Ok. Tapas - soso. Oyster mushrooms are not worth it. Paella is not a paella but something they came up with. Tasted ok but nothing special. Service was very slow. Many other better options in town.

I went there for dinner with friends. They have a variety of beers that makes this place a different one. They also have a good offer for dinner (from salads to pastas). The place also has a nice terrace and during the week is not crowded so you can enjoy having a nice conversation in a nice location.

This place is perfect for a wine and a whole bunch of tapas. Sit of the rooftop terrace with friends and the hours will disappear without a second thought. Everything for me was great during my visit. I can't fault the food, wine, service or atmosphere.

Oaxaca has a plethora of small bars tucked away and then El Olovio is my favourite...Super bar area with good lighting. A real charming barman, Adan who, speaks, good English who, seems genuinely interested in you. We even left to watch a camprasa without paying in mid drink. No problem. We just came back when we had finished taking photos...a great selection of... More

I have been to El Olivo before and loved it but this review is for my most recent experience. I was there during there Oktoberfest celebration. Great selection of beers both local and from Germany. Their German style sauerkraut and sausage was amazing. My son also had the pretzel and loved it. Overall another great experience.

We went for the artisanal beers, wine and light fare. It was all good. The decor is fun. The open air patio is just a sublime spot. The wait staff are attentive and seem like people you'd like to have a drink with.

Delicious food beautifully prepared. Lovely rooftop dining with thoughtful food. Tapas and Paella are mouthwatering. Owner was very kind and helped us order what was one of our families favorite meals. Great selection of cocktails as well. Would definitely return.
