I make it a point to reserve one night each time I travel to Mexico City, to dine with a customer at San Angel Inn in Mexico City. From the moment you step into the building, you are transported back to the colonial era of Mexico City. The cuisine is pure classical at its' best. I usually have the Mole... More

The best Margarita in the garden is a must before entering the hacienda and taking place at the table. The food is classical good Mexican cousine with guitars trio playing among the guests in a beautiful and discreet way. I always go to San Angel while in DF

We were a little shocked by how quick the service was with our entree coming out within 10 minutes and our mains arriving before entrees had... More

This is definitely a classic. Atmosphere is great and food is quite good. Don’t forget to try their Margaritas, they really are one of a kind. Great for couples, friends and business. It is also very good for events. It’s a gem

I have been coming to San Angel Inn since my childhood 35 years ago with my grandparents, when women were required to wear dresses and men were required to wear coats and ties... I remember the food was out of this world, and the atmosphere was magical... Today it is just as beautiful and a landmark in Mexico City, although... More

Fantastic place in a very nice area of southern Mexico City, has been there for ages and still keeps a very good quality at a considerable but fair price.

The San Angel Inn is just gorgeous. It used to be a monastery and there is still even a small chapel. The service is superb and the food quite good.

Staying in San Angel

Neighbourhood Profile
San Angel
San Ángel is known for its artistic vibe and elegant details displayed throughout its streets, antique residences and haciendas where famous actors like Consuelo Velázquez, Capulina and other prominent families used to live and that have now been turned into beautiful galleries, cafés and restaurants. An array of cultural and artistic activities are organized in the neighborhood, but it is on Saturdays when the San Jacinto Plaza and surroundings really shine as artists gather to exhibit a variety of arts and crafts, from paintings to clothing.
