Worst food ever for its price. Really over my budget for a 100$ pasta.I recommend not to come to this restaurant.

This place is so beautiful! I love the food. I had the Roast Duck with Blackberry sauce which was superb ( sauce was thickened which probably can be reduced with red wine). Great service from the waiters. Very professional. Price is expected to be high range but it definitely matched the good service and good food. Highly recommended for luncheon... More

This is a very well to do Inn; patrons are equally well heeled. It was great people watching and a midday retreat for antojitos. Reservations are required, but we managed to secure seating around the garden patio. Service was not attentive and it is quite expensive. Certainly a place to be scene and not catered to visitors.

They have kept their reputation for the best margaritas in town. We had dinner and they had great service and great food. Excellent list of Mexican wines at reasonable prices. Tortilla soup is good. We loved their mole and cajeta (caramel) dessert dish. It is a plus to visit their nicely kept gardens.

We ate here for brunch on the very popular Sunday. We sat outside in the main courtyard and it was just beautiful. Gorgeous flowers and just a spectacular setting. Tortilla soup was unimpressive. Veal chop was very good. Best was the Ile Flotant for dessert. Worth the trip for the location and history. Food was very good but not memorable.

After a long walk from plaza del Carmen via all those lovely houses and quite ambiance, we ended next to the studio of Diego and Frida. Earlier, a friend had suggested that this place got a nice courtyard to have a great margarita. We ended up having lunch - ok food. Desserts are not great though. Margarita is indeed great.... More

Lovely location for ladies who do lunch, families, old money, and nouveau riche. These genteel folk know how to serve margaritas. Delicious food and drink. Hacienda style environment.

Good restaurant, the place is very beautiful and unique and the food is reasonable. The negative point is the price that it's quite expensive.

While this restaurant is located in the south part of the city (San Angel) it should be a must stop for anyone wanting to truly experience a Mexican gem. The food is very good (not incredible) but the ambiance cannot be beat. It is located in an old Hacienda from the 1600s. It is a special place to have a... More

Staying in San Angel

Neighbourhood Profile
San Angel
San Ángel is known for its artistic vibe and elegant details displayed throughout its streets, antique residences and haciendas where famous actors like Consuelo Velázquez, Capulina and other prominent families used to live and that have now been turned into beautiful galleries, cafés and restaurants. An array of cultural and artistic activities are organized in the neighborhood, but it is on Saturdays when the San Jacinto Plaza and surroundings really shine as artists gather to exhibit a variety of arts and crafts, from paintings to clothing.
