We stumbled on this place two years ago and remembered it and thought we would go back for lunch. We had a great lunch of lasagna and fettuccine with all types of seafood. It is small and I am sure a place all the locals hang out. It was delightful to sit and just watch the people.

Cafe La Gloria is a very comfortable cafe with seating inside and out. It is relatively small, no more than 20 tables. The waiters were very friendly & helpful, especially that we don't speak Spanish. Unfortunately we only found the food to be OK. I had a fish dish and my partner a steak; both acceptable but neither were great.

If you want a break from Mexican food, Cafe La Gloria could be a good option. The menu offered a variety of Italian dishes (some with a Mexican twist), and is located on a quiet street in La Condesa (a great neighborhood for walking around in the evening). The service was fine, the food was good, the location was excellent.... More

We were looking forward to eating here as we stayed in a hotel close by. The soups that we chose (tomato and lentil) were really not that great and rather blend, but better than the main course, which was pizza and lasagne. The pizza I really didn't care for at all (disliked everything from the dough to the toppings) and... More

As a frequent traveler to Latin America and its great cities, I'm always on the lookout for a "go-to" restaurant - - the kind of place you can rely on for good food and conviviality. Cafe La Gloria is my new go-to place in Mexico City. The restaurant boasts a great location in La Condesa; it's a lovely, prepossessing venue... More

I went here for a late night dinner. I sat outside and had an enjoyable meal and glass of wine. The staff was attentive but not overbearing. Great place to hang and relax.

We stopped here on our way home from museum of anthropology. You could sit outside or in and the place was decorated like you were in Italy. We had a great pizza but folks next to us had pasta and we wished one of us would have tried that. It looks like a spot where lots of locals go.

La Gloria is one of our best places to stop by at La Condesa. Enjoy the changing atmospheres and find a different art exposition every month or so. Every visit feels never the same but the taste will always be great.

During a few days in Mexico City we explored Condesa one evening but didn't find it as hip/trendy/exciting as the guidebooks suggested - but we come from central London and know New York City well, so maybe the comparison is unfair. La Gloria had been the first place we checked out after a beer across the road and after strolling... More
