All I can say. Its The food a Mexican grandma would give their Mexican grandchildren. It was excellent. Try the 4 types if hot chilly sauce if you can.

I love this place. As a foreigner in Mexico I always wanted to try real Mexican food without ending with stomach problems. This place was the answer. I love their food. It is out of this world. They have it all. Spicy. Not spicy. Everything. Don't think it is an upscale place, it is not. It's a simple place. Menus... More

All the food was freshly made, delicious, and plentiful. I did not pay but I believe it was a great value and you will neither leave hungry or broke. Just the memory of the Flan de la Abuela is causing my salivary glands to activate and my stomach to growl. After sampling flan on and off for the last two... More

A local family took me here and it was the first time I had Pozole (like $4 for a big bowl), which seemed like all the things I like in a veggie taco in a bowl in soup form if that makes sense. The place squeezes you in here dining hall style but that only adds to the atmosphere. I... More

Until I stepped into Casa De Tono, I can honestly say that I had never eaten in a dining hall. If you are in DF and want to "go local" this is the place to go. Mexican families spend a lot of time together, and much of that time is spent gathered at the table. Here, families eat together, talk... More

Local chain offers delicious food in a simple, clean setting. Service is very quick and staff is friendly. As soon as you sit you are served complimentary homemade chips and salsa. Their pozole is famous, and for good reason! On top of their low prices, you get 40% for breakfast on weekdays between 8 and noon. Wide variety of traditional... More

Very well known for the Pozole. You can get a small or large bowl. The small is enough for one person. They give you a sheet with the menu and you mark the order. When you are ready hand it to the nearest waiter. Man it was good
