Typical Starbucks. Small-ish with a few choices of pastries, fruit, yogurt and coffees of course. I ran in for a cookie and water and the Barista behind the counter was very friendly and efficient.

It's hard to get excited about Starbucks - coffee is usually good, food is always dreadful, the atmosphere is nice if very standardised and the prices are on the high side. Free wi-fi is a great commodity, especially for travellers but Mexican Starbucks use an inconvenient system that does not always work and usually loses connection and requires to login... More

For a hard bread sandwich self-served I would go across the street and pay one fourth of the price. Strange world... having Starbuck's classified as a restaurant is an excess, almost as the sugar added to their products.

Starbucks is obviously not my first choice for eating vegetarian food, but when I am walking around and in an unfamiliar area that has no vegetarian restaurants, I sometimes eat the vegetarian sandwich at Starbucks. Usually this is when I am in a bit of rush and don't want to spend the time sitting down at a restaurant or spend... More

Starbucks coffee shops may be very special in cities where there is no other option. It offers good coffee, pastries and above all a friendly place to stay, with free internet connectivity, cozy lounges, friendly service, clean bathrooms, etc. However, in Mexico City the Starbucks chain (maybe 50 or more shops) is just one more, since there are plenty of... The coffee is terrible. I don't know why people keep going. i gave it a second chance, but I was right the first time. It is really bad. Sour and cold coffee, and just a regular black one. It wasn't that difficult

Staying in Xochimilco

Neighbourhood Profile
Xochimilco
Xochimilco is one of the most ancient and natural parklands around the city. Used as an important agricultural area since the Pre-Hispanic era, it holds a great variety of flora and fauna that you can witness while canoeing on your own or taking a ride in a classic trajineras (gondola-like boats) decorated with juniper and flowers. Enjoy some Mexican antojitos while sipping a bit of mezcal or tequila and listen to the mariachis and marimbas playing tunes from other colorful chinampas (artificial islands). Aside from the canals, you can find unique Pre-Hispanic art collections at the Archaeological Museum of Xochimilco after talking a walk through its classic streets and visiting the majestic ahuehuete tree that prevails in the heart of this neighborhood at Jardín Juárez.
