We had already been to Kaah Siis in the past, and food has always been excellent and imaginative; but the place felt somewhat cold. Now they changed their name to Raíz, and the place seems to have flourished. Food is still excellent, still as imaginative; but the restaurant now is abuzz with a different, welcoming atmosphere. We ate some of... More

Not a very large establishment. Simple decor. Small outside terrace. And beautiful food. Fresh local ingredients. A menu that is not overloaded. Very attentive helpful staff. A young inspired chef. Everything we had was perfect. Cod salad with the most refreshing vinaigrette, melt in the mouth fois., delicious duck and tender octopus. All with so much flavour and not at... More

5 for dinner. Chose 6 course with wine pairing. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. A gustatory tour de force with home grown Mexican nuance. Each course was superbly matched with an excellent Valle de Guadalupe wine or an Alsatian beauty. Have no idea why this place is not packed out. We spent about 6000 pesos for 5 and enjoyed... More

Honestly only come here if you have the whole afternoon off and plan on eating the whole time. We were there for about 3 hours with long wait times between dishes. The food was actually excellent and possibly made even more so because of the frustrating anticipation. And the place was empty, it wasn't like they were packed and couldn't... More

An exhilarating experience. Located in the heart of the city but taken to a different place by the decor. I recently visited the restaurant during for a business lunch. The service is outstanding from the maitre d' to the Chef, that visited our table at the very end of the dinner. The food is made out fresh ingredients, you can... More

The combination of flavors and inventiveness of the food was amazing! An absolute pleasure from start to finish. Have the mescal mojito made with cilantro to start. The food is organic and locally sourced. The menu is invented daily based on what's available. Enjoy!

I went for lunch here to check the place out for an event and I was very surprised. The decoration of the restaurant is simple, but the food is top notch. Everything is beautifully plated with flowers and colors, but it all tastes amazing as well. The menu has all local super fresh ingredients. I tried a ceviche, pork breast... More

A chef who challanges the clasic cousine! The cousine is fine and the presentacion very good. The service is kind and perfect! The wine list good, and if you are lucky you could partecipate to wine and food tasting. The price good for the quality!

This is one of the best restaurants in Mexico City. Outstanding service and creative, inventive food. We put ourselves in the hands of the very capable manager who put together a vegetarian tasting menu for us with an emphasis on local dishes and spices. The presentation of the food was incredibly beautiful. The beet salad had beets cooked in five... More

I don't know why isn't everybody talking about this place. One of the best modern Mexican food experiencies I've had in this city. Food is creative, fresh and full of flavor. Don't miss the trout and the pork as well as the picaña, amazing.
