If you want to eat here while on vacation you'll need to make your reservation several weeks out. I made ours about three weeks before our trip...and I snagged the last seating available which was on the day we arrived. Use Open Table. The head chef trained under the famous Pujol chef. This was the only place we ate at... More

The restaurant is located on a corner in old house. It was quaint and cozy ambiance. The majority of the patrons were English speaking although the servers were limited in conversing accordingly. Service was ordinary, which could have been more engaging. Illustrated more glorified runners and bus persons. The cuisine itself was very good, well executed and on point with... More

So I said to Judi on our UBER ride to Maximo Bistrot, "it will never be as good as we remember from last time." But it was!!! You must go and enjoy everything - every dish on the menu is excellent. There is no better Lechon in Mexico and everything from the sour rye crispy bread served with smokey eggplant... More

Maximo was awesome and I would go back on the next trip! Our wait was quoted 45 minutes and they brought us into the bar upstairs where we had a great cocktail and waited. Dinner was delicious, wine selections great, service perfect. We loved it. Thank you!

The soup special on the day of my lunch at Maximo Bistrot Local was so good that I will likely be talking about it for years to come. My girlfriend and I had heard that this was on the must-eat list for our trip to DF, and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is discreet and elegant, a cozy ground... More

I have dined at Maximo Bistro several times(3 or 4) in the last few years. My latest visit was in January, for lunch. In all cases, I was a solo diner. I have discovered, over my visits, that I have better luck with lunch - both in service and in availability of popular dishes. Like other reviewers, I have arrived... More

This is a repeat restaurant for us whenever we visit Mexico City. This time it was on Mother's Day in Mexico and even though the restaurant was full, the service was outstanding and the food great. The evening started with a complementary glass of wine for my wife and we had two appetizers and two main plates. Then we shared... More
