Had a great time in this very typical restaurant. A must go if you want to eat typical Mexican food in a popular restaurant. I recommend the cochinita pibil with a glass of horchata !

A nondescript location and in the 2nd floor of an old building. And the ambiance is not modern. But the food defies all this. Backed by prompt service and affordable prices. The place is very popular and at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon, the queue was 1 hour long.

This is an extremely popular place, with lines often out the door, and now I can see why. The food melts in your mouth, hugely generous portions, and all at a very good price. The service is friendly and efficiently, and there usually is great music to entertain you. Just a lovely experience.

I've been following a trail of taco places. Came to this location for Pibil Tacos, because I read somewhere they were the best in the whole of Mexico. I can't tell you if they are but I can most certainly tell you that this place is worth the visit. Hidden in Isabel la Catolica and in a second floor. This... More

My girlfriend and I are an Australian couple who are obsessed with food - the reason for our visit to Mexico city! Coox Hanal was the perfect mix of tasty local food, reasonable prices, non-touristy vibe. The restaurant is not so easy to find which probably keeps alot of the tourists away. We can't speak more highly of the Cochonita... More

Definitivamente uno de los mejores restaurantes del Centro Histórico. Mis papás iban ahí desde que eran novios y ahora nos llevan a nosotros. Siempre terminamos felices y completamente satisfechos. Un lugar tradicional, delicioso y nada costoso. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the City Center. My parents used to go there when they were young, and now they take... More

Highlights for us were the Sopa de Lima and Tacos with Cochinita Pibil. The Papadzules were also very good. Unfortunately our waiter was very unhelpful in describing dishes and or answering our questions. That said, I would return again the next time I'm in the DF to try some of the other dishes.

This is probably the best place in Mexico City! Of course you can find more sophisticated restaurants but this is so good and the staff very carefully and fast! Yes!

Reasonably-priced, authentically prepared Yecateca specialties. Get the chamorro pibil - a whole pork shank (so be ready to share) in a delicious achiote sauce, that looks fiery but is quite mild, yet complex enough to be fascinating.

Great place to hava a good glimpse of the Mayan Cuisine, maybe not the best in the country, but a very good good option, this place is known for its SOPA DE Lima ( lime soup ) PAPADZULES ( Like a stuffed tortilla covered with sauce and sprinkles of boiled egg ) COCHINITA PIBIL ( pork meat with axiom, the...
