The place is a good place to eat good Mexican food with a low price. It can be considered like a Mexican McDonalds but more like a restaurant. The place do not accept reservations and it might be full. The service is so fast so...More

Friends suggested we should eat here because La Casa de Tono makes good Pozole, it was the Independence Day weekend and it's customary to eat Pozole to celebrate Independence Day. La Casa de Tono certainly isn't somewhere I would recommend for its fine food and...More

The food was my favorite Mexican food on our trip and it was so inexpensive which was a bonus. Friendly staff. Clean place. Great food!

I came for the posole and was very happy with it. I enjoyed the soup. It was simple for a non-Spanish speaker, like me, to order. Service was very prompt and accommodating. I would easily go back and try more items on the menu.

Reading the reviews I was expecting this place to be delicious. It's hard to find for taxis since it's on a street that can't be driving into, you'll need to walk a little to arrive. We ordered a little of everything and was pretty disappointed...More

Wanted something low key , local, and quick. This spot ticked all the boxes. Soooooo fast, watching the entire staff literally run from table to table......head-spinning experience. Wasn't the best Mexican food I've ever had, but hearty and filling, their salsas terrific. Always a fast...More

Based on all the 5 star reviews we went with high expectations. The food was not what we hoped for the service very impersonal. Fortunately it was dirt cheap.

On a recent trip to Mexico City, we were hungry and unfamiliar with our surroundings, so we asked where would you go to our hotel valet, and he said this place. The crowd in front looked like we would wait awhile when we got out...More

I really don't understand what all the fuss is about this place....nothing more that a Mexican fast food Cafeteria. The pozole is supposed to be their specialty, it was honestly one of the worst I tried on my visit to Mexico, very bland. Not worth...More
