Fancy dishes with unusual ingredients and excellent food. The menu is not translated, but our waiter translated each dish into English for us. Fun place, recommend it!

We ended up here by accident, but had such a lovely time. The restaurant opens up onto the Calle Amsterdam, which has a lush park and walkway that forms a backdrop for the restaurant. We were seated right at the edge facing the street and park. The food was absolutely delicious and prepared with great care and imagination. It was... More

Little did I know around the block from my hotel was this eatery. I walked in and initially found the response with out a reservation, a bit pretentious. Once settle in at a table, initially offered a bar seat and declined, the rest of the evening was great. Food was incredible and the waiter I had was wonderful. I ate... More

Jair Tallez is a Mexican Chef who I met long time ago at Laja, Valle de Ensenada, his first place. I had the opportunity to try his food again at Merotoro in La Condesa is and it was an amazing experience. Place was busy on a week night. Nevertheless service was fast and efficient. Every dish was a pure pleasure... More

We dropped by this restaurant to look at the menu and got lured in by the warm welcome, menu and demeanour. We had a very nice meal, experienced excellent service (in spite of the language barrier) and loved people watching. I'd highly recommend a trip here. You'll remember it for ages.

The restaurant has a very sophisticated ambiance and is nicely located in Hipodromo condesa. The food is very tasty and different but it is expensive and the wine list is small.

I ate here with a friend who lives in Mexico City but had never been to this restaurant. Since I had eaten here before, I made our reservation hoping that the memories I had did not let me down. The menu had changed since my last visit but the food, that reflects Baja California, was still terrific. From entrada through... More

Let me say at the outset that we had a great dinner at Merotoro, and everything worked out fine, even for my vegetarian wife. We chose Merotor for dinner our last night in Mexico City based on reputation and good reviews. Because my wife is vegetarian, we called in advance to ask if they had vegetarian dishes on the menu.... More

In the Condesa zone, filled with yuppies walking their trophy dogs, this restaurant is upscale in food and wine selection but has a comfortable welcoming ambiance. Several courses...All with interesting and creative combinations of fresh seafood from Baja and land based foods. Think algae, sweetbreads and octopus in a delicate vinaigrette. Very flavourful. We had a great experience...Not your usual... More

I had an amazing dinner at Merotoro... as a place with an international reputation (incl. SF's Cala) it's more expensive than many good meals you can get in Mexico City (though currently, 20+ pesos to the dollar!), but this is some of the best seafood I've had, anywhere. I had the aguachile, pulpo (the best I've had anywhere), and red... More
