Excellent Italian style pizza, cold beer, sitting on one of the balconies enjoying the view of the town square. A must if you're visiting.

Better Italian food than in the states! Their tiramasiu is amazing. Seating inside or on the back deck with a view of the city. Waiter was very polite and attentive. Staff was helpful calling for a taxi for us.

I come here every weekend. The service is excellent, the place is very neat and the food is tasty. In my opinion, the Italian food served is delicious, although the flavor does not resemble the traditional Italian food in Italy. However, the flavor is so good. I recommend the pizza, which taste like Italian pizza make in the US and... More

I was given a glowing recommendation to try this restaurant and I'm happy I did. We were a group of 3 having a business lunch and all of us ordered different pizzas and we were all extremely happy with our choices. The pizza was good good that although we thought we could not possibly eat it all we each finished... More

Food at Portofino is tasty and comes in great variety, but the taste isn't really italian. Maybe it is because they don't use real mozzarella cheese on their pizzas. Or because of the dough which isn't really italian. But also pasta was not thoroughly convincing though with an interesting sauce. Overcooked though. In general this place is still nice for... More

I like Italian food a lot, and I had my best Italian meal in Guanajuato so far here. It's in the suburb of Marfil, and there are buses that stop pretty close to the place.

In their new location with expanded facilities, easy access. Food is generally good but quality is somewhat erratic. Prices reasonable for what you get. This attractive place has the potential to be really outstanding!

Ristorante Portofino used to be in another less favorable location, but they built up their client base and moved into Marfi, an historic community at the edge of Gto. proper. The owners are a young couple, Mexican and Italian. who cook everything themselves from their thin crispy pizza dough, to pastas and desserts. Also excellent is their salad selection. Prices...
