Traditional Pozole on Thursdays. Santa Prisca is very very popular with the townspeople of Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa. On Thursdays there is live music with Jose Cabo and Juanito, wonderful! The pozole comes either white, green or red with an assortment of botanas to add-on. You can also order other traditional Mexican items from the menu if you are not a... More

Great pozole and the staff super nice. Don't have to wait much to be seated usually, even though it's always packed as the food is awesome !

We heard about this place from a local expat friend who told us we had to go there for the music. This restaurant apparently is only open on Thursdays, and it's quite the popular place, as they serve Pozole and offer live music from 1:30 to 5. The restaurant had mostly tourists and expats, but it was interesting to watch... More

This restaurant is only open on Thursday's...one day a week. It has become the local hot spot for tourists and locals alike. They have the best Pozoli anywhere i have found in Mexico. (Pozoli is a soup that comes in different degrees of spicey and can be pork or chicken.) They have food other than Pozoli as well, but that... More

This place is one of a kind and pleasantly located in Zihuatanejo. I don't know how you would find out about it other than word of mouth, but it gets loaded with people including locals it seems! Delicious soups and other dishes to share. Drink service is quite quick if you can flag a server down, otherwise it is quite... More

Excellent - low prices, good entertainment, awesome. Get there early as they fill up! Enjoy the pozole (verde has a little spiciness). Caution - servings are huge - if ordering side dishes, suggest split with an other as too much food.

Yesterday was Thursday, and we spent another lovely afternoon with friends at Santa Prisca. Pozole rojo and verde, as well as enchiladas verde, were enjoyed along with the delicious snacks and, of course, wonderful ice cream deserts. The band was, as always, just great. This is a great way to celebrate Thursday!

Excellent live music. Posole rojo is delicious and the nacatamales are not to be missed. My family and I spent a Thursday afternoon here and enjoyed ourselves immensely. They bring out delicious appetizers with beans, chicharrón, and fried jalapeños stuffed with cheese. The micheladas and mezcal were good too. If you are in Zihua on a Thursday make sure and... More

If you are in Zihua on a Thursday you must head to Santa Prisca for pozole. The food was wonderful ... we have puerco in both rosa and verde (rosa had a bit stronger flavor but both were very good). There were many local couples there on date, families, and several large groups. This is where the locals go so... More
