Excellent bacon wrapped shrimp with chipolte sauce. This is not on the menu, you just need to ask. My wife had a fish filet stuffed with shrimp and cheese. Both of us were very satisfied with the meal and the service. Price was good too.

Went for dinner with friends. I go to this restaurant often. You can not get better food than here. This is a family restaurant and they do a great job of fixing the food and the service. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp with chipotle sauce and it was fantastic. My friends had a fish filet with garlic and coconut... More

We read the many good reviews as well as a recommendation from our Innkeeper and decided to try this restaurant. Unfortunately for them, we were the only customers. This was one of the best meals we have had in Zihua! The seafood was delicious. The food was fresh, the service was excellent and the server even brought samples of other... More

We asked a local where we could eat it we only wanted to hear Spanish spoken and not have a bilingual menu i.e. not for tourists. Mariscos Chendo is all about the food - the best food we have had in Zihua. The shrimp and the catch of the day (Baracuda) were fresh, flavorful and very generous portions. Three entrees... More

I had heard through some locals about Chendo's this year. Somehow I have missed it in the past 9 years I have been going to Zihua although we had discovered Lety's a few years ago and loved it. We stay on Playa Madera so Chendo's is a close walk for us now that it is on Calle Adelita. We went... More

Good service, good food, good price. Can not imagine wanting more. One of my best meals and under $15. including the drink. Stuffed fish filet was out of sight.

So, we took the advice of another reviewer and OMG!!!! The tiritas, coconut shrimp and nutella and strawberry crepe are to DIE for. It was absolutely delicious!! A MUST to eat here!! Be patient, everything is cooked to order. Oh, and we drank the rest of the coconut creme that comes with the shrimp ;-)

Chendo's is a real gem of a restaurant. Delicious food, expertly prepared, at prices that are reasonable. Their new location is a bit harder to find than their old, but it is well worth it. Unlike many of the other "favorite" TA restaurants it tends not to be so overcrowded with tourists, so for me, a much more pleasurable, authentic... More
