Went there with family to have a good dinner from the grill. We were never disappointed! Very tasty, good quality meat and dishes! Prices were also fair. Not cheap, but fair: dinner for 5 person with drinks and 3 desserts: 2200 MXN. Can only recommend! Thank you!

Cannot believe I'm saying this, but when you've had enough of seafood then head to Rufo's. His BBQ style cooking is one of the best in Zih for the price, always fresh and always cooked to your liking. Great all round.

We have been here several times over the years. The Tuna cooked over Masquite wood is to die for. The salsa & vegetables are also cooked over the Masquite wood, what a wonderful place. Reasonably priced, four of us with drinks, 1000 pesos. Good selection of seafood, pork chops etc. Musicians play music in the background but not on all... More

Nice ambiance in a courtyard with live quiet music. I ordered the fresh grilled yellow-tail tuna which was very good. Strange sides that went with it. A tablespoon of this and that,guacamole,beans,2-3 french fries and grilled veggies. I would have preferred either rice or baked potato and salad or veggies. For me to many different different things on the plate.... More

We came here twice for dinner. This place does not work on "Mexican minute" time. They are super speedy with getting the food out. The first time I ordered the catch of the day. I had the best red snapper on my whole vacation. It had fresh herbs and was so moist- perfectly cooked. The burgers and mixed sausage plate... More

Nice little indoor-outdoor restaurant on Playa La Madera - good live dinner music; simple food but good. Nice atmosphere.

Rufo's Grill is a nice, casual restaurant where the food is typically accompanied by nice background music--in our case a saxophonist. The menu is not extensive and does not list starters; the restaurant serves a solid selection of grilled foods. In our case, we both had the arrachera. The meat was good. While I was pleased with the food and... More

We have been to Rufo's before about 4 years ago and tonight was great again. It isn't fancy but the grilled food is delicious. Great service and good music - single sax player that was good and not intrusive. Very reasonably priced. We would definite recommend.

Description
From steak to seafood, vegetables to burgers, anything that Rufo can throw on his grill he does -- and to much success, too. The outdoor restaurant fits perfectly with the charcoal grill flavors, fresh corn tortillas and hearty homestyle portions that makes Rufo's so popular. There's often a crowd during high season but it's worth coming early or staying late to get a taste. Rufo is a personable host and takes extra effort to make each customer's experience unique and fully satisfying. He has even been known to bring out a large platter of grilled steak, ribs, fish and shrimp for a group to sample when they can't make up their mind. There isn't a huge bar selection but the margaritas are strong and the beer is cold. On a hot Zihuatanejo night, what more could you ask for?
