Perched on a rocky outcrop in a cove above the sound of crashing waves and in full view of the setting sun, this restaurant delivers an idyllic setting for that special meal. It is a fixed price three course menu that features several options for each course and the menu is changed daily to take advantage of what is available... More

We were staying at the hotel & eat dinner here 3 times , the food was always fresh and organic, very well prepared & there was always something a vegetarian could eat. Lunch was equally good with the fish tacos being outstanding. Most of all the service was friendly and knowledgeable . There is a good wine list, nice cocktails... More

A highlight of our visit 3 years ago (gave it a 5 star review) is not even a shadow of its former self. Kick myself for not reading recent reviews: the food is mediocre at best, whoever stole the previous chef is eating well. Little to no creativity, two of the four desserts were ice cream. Our starter half bottle... More

Dear Bartel55, I am surprised to read the very degrading comments you stated in your review. We understand and apologize about your observation about the lack of the adequate temperature of your champagne serving. For the other observations, we are in complete disagreement for two main reasons. First, the daily monitoring of our guest’s satisfaction shows a very high percentage... More

The restaurant is beautiful, the service. it's a set three course menu, and a little pricey. Not impressed at all.

My husband and I are staying at Casa Que Canta, so we have dined at Mar y Cielo almost every night, including Valentine's Day. We have tried the daily catch of red snapper & buzo, prepared grilled, fried and steamed in a banana leaf - all delicious. My husband also tried the Angus beef and rack of lamb, which he... More

A favorite of ours for a long time. No more. Our last visit will certainly be the last. The a la carte menu has been replaced by an ordinary menu of the day of three choices including desert for a fixed high price. The wine list is expensive. The food was well prepared and good but not the level we... More

Fabulous location on a deck high above the bay. Attentive service, but the food is far below the level of another close-by restaurant with sweeping views, Tentaciones. The main course of red snapper was prepared well, but was very simple. The accompanying rice and vegetables were Denny's like. However, the corn soup and ravioli appetizers were excellent. I'm torn between... More

WE had dinner on a lovely evening - obviously the location of the hotel and the restaurant are great selling points The food is highlighted as Mexican / French - uuhm - not quite sure about that - shall we split the difference and call it interesting! Dear Loraine W Thank you for providing us with your feedback regarding your dinner at our restaurant. Probably you have a point with the French cuisine. This is the restaurant at La Casa Que Canta. The wine list is extensive, the menu selections very broad ant the service exceptional. We celebrated our anniversary there and they presented us with a dessert that included our names and their best wishes. It is well worth a visit whether staying in the hotel or not.
